The wealthy Russian side have been linked with a number of big-name signings this summer, with Cameroon international Eto'o, who scored 37 goals in all competitions last season, reported to be top of their list and subject of a €35 million bid.
Despite his previous claims that he did not want join the club because they were not in the Champions League, Anzhi are willing to offer him around €20 million a season in wages to move to Russia and agent Claudio Vigorelli has claimed that terms have almost been agreed.
"We have almost reached an agreement with Anzhi. Now we hope that the clubs agree," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Earlier, Inter president Massimo Moratti confirmed that the club are in talks with Anzhi over a deal.
"The offer is not indecent but it is not up to me to evaluate it," he said. "In fact it is intelligent, interesting and fair. Now it is up to us and Eto'o to evaluate it."
