Do you reckon Kia is laying rights to his commercial rights or summat? I doubt he will just take the moey and that will be it, stay on as his agent as such? The FA are probably scrutinising this more than any transfer before and we are happy to let them do that so we receive no possible recriminations in the future.

Todays MEN says that's what is delaying things lawyers for City,PL,Kia

Who in the hell are we using for legal advice, some work experience kid who works out of his Mams back room ?

Well its not that simple really is it - not many cases of this Third party ownership in football are there. And i can't see Kia taking the "transfer fee" and thats that. He will still want a stake in tevez somewhere along the line, and that is most probably gonna be his commercial rights so any advertsing money etc he gets a cut.

I dare say that several agents have a claim in their players future earnings through this channel. I think City and the premier league just want this to be 100% by the book with this one. It sets a precedent.

I posted this on the "monday" thread........

I posted on the Tevez thread last night when the poster "in the know" said their was a press conference.

I texted my mate who works for the muen as he deals with city for pc's and shite like that, he texted back no pc for monday which i posted last night.

I have spoken to tony today and he said he has no info of any press conferences for this coming week at com's. He did say tho these can be called at the drop of an hat, and thisd as happened before.
City flew out to Germany this morning and after that training camp, will almost immediately jet out to South Africa for another week or however long it is. So there'll be no press conferences at COMS/Carrington for a good couple of weeks. It doesn't mean we wont sign anyone during that period though, as Garry Cook, Paul Aldridge and Brian Marwood will be working hard back home trying to tie up deals.

According to Mark Bowen they will be back at Carrington training either next Monday or Tuesday then will fly out on the Thursday i think.

So a couple of days available for the big announcements!

Fair enough, i've seen new EU directives sorted out quicker than this though.

let's face it any deal announced today or tomorrow will only be overshadowed by Tranny's switch to Real, probably be around weds / thurs for maximum coverage.

Didn't Kia say right at the start that a decision will be made by the 10th July? So I'd expect whatever to be announced whilst the team are in Germany. Still expecting him at the COMS, in SM I trust!!

I would imagine they are using brabners chaffe street the top sports law firm in the country... Either them or Shearman & Sterling who did the takeover and where they got their Head of Legal from...
