i just think were all going to be very disapointed, and i know spursmad has got things right, but when was last time he was on? i just think we are failing, and going to end up with average signings again, cant see terry or eto'o signing as thats gone desperatly quiet too,

If people took less notice of this thread (which has been used as a tool for people to get thier post counts up and be a part of a face past growing thread) then the transfer would be seen in a very different light, imo.

Going from offical word only, we're one of three likely to sign the player, whos representitves said would be concluded by July 10th ish.

Its the people claiming that a deal was signed 6-8 weeks ago that have kept everyone coming back everyday expecting breaking news which has made this transfer seemingly drag on.

I've tried not to get excited by this or the Eto'o thread, so if/when it does happen, someone can scrape me off the ceiling!

IMO Tevez, Lescott and Eto'o are done deals mate, we just have to wait until the club decide to break the news.

Not necessarily aimed at this particular poster, but I think we all need to chill out and grow some bollocks. We're only just in to July ffs! NONE of our major targets have gone anywhere else have they? The Tevez deal is a complicated one. Ditto Eto'o. Terry is going to be extremely difficult to prise out of Chelsea, and Everton are probably playing hard ball over the fee for Lescott. I know we'd all be a lot happier if we put a bid in for a player, it was accepted the same day, and the player signed on the dotted line the day after, but we're after TOP quality players whose clubs don't necessarily want to sell them, and who have other options to weigh up. Beats haggling over fees for Lee Bradbury & Bob Taylor if you ask me.
