just posted a reply top of page three :) ha ha ha i bet they will go mental when they read it.

No offence mate, but I don't see why people have a problem with Chelsea. They don't have a problem with us. The real fans that is, and I know a few.

I have to say I agree with this. I know a few Chelsea fans & they actually seem quite happy for us.

Got to laugh at the clown who lives in Norwich finding it funny that he may actually like living in Manchester.

Back on topic:

My best mate is a Chelsea fan, (season ticket goes home and away) and he wants Tevez. He's not overly convinced about Anelka, and Drogba is always likely to lose it or just move on. And the likes of Kalou and Di Santo are nowhere near good enough to start week in week out. So they need another striker.

However, as I posted a few weeks ago, he got told through someone who works for CFC that there wasn't any money to spend on the big names - and with Tevez, you are looking for atleast 25 plus a high wage demand. Though his source may have been contradicted with what Ray Wilkins has said in the past week or two.

Going back to what some of them we're saying on that forum:

I really do believe that our not getting into Europe was a blessing in disguise. Everton and Villa will have to play so many more games this year than us. And I think we are already better than Villa - They finished poorly last season (well, not as well as us - despite our away record, we played well considering our injury problems), we've taken there captain away from them and I would not be at all surprised if Chelsea, United or a big European side went for Young.

Everton are well managed and did amazingly well last year considering their injuries. But if we do get Lescott, than that will unsettle there steady defense... and to be honest, when we went there at the end of the season, there was nothing to show me that they were x amount of points better than us - we just had a transitional season last year (much to the dismay of many on here).

Barry, Tevez and RSC (atleast) all settled in for pre-season plus Kompany, De Jong, Robinho, Bridge being able to have a full pre-season with City promises great things. - Without being over ambitious, I really do think it will be between us, Everton and Spurs for 5th next year.

Good post. Hope you told your mate he was crazy; Anelka was top scorer playing half the season out of position.

Got to laugh at that thread too, we're doing things on a grander scheme than they did, which won them a museum full of trophies.

They've completely missed the point with Tevez and clearly don't understand what the hell he wants. If they'd actually paid attention to this whole saga, had ever watched a live Premier league game, or even just Carlos Tevez for that matter than they'd realise they sound like ignorant fools.

Tevez doesn't crave CL football or a fireplace full of medals earnt fro mthe bench; he wants to be a part of a club who embrace and involve him, who have the potential to fight for honours but don't underpin thier existence on them. He wants a fight, a challenge a progession with a side that has its roots deep in football.

Step forward MCFC, a team averaging a consistently higher attendance than thier grand CFC, who cant even fill out thier old ground, let alone build a new one now the good times have arrived for them.

We're everything Tevez is apparently looking for in a football club, we've got the fans who will take to him as a real cult hero if our 'project' delivers. He's everything we as fans look for in a player; a bit unique, hardworking, a touch of flair.

I'll put a brew on Carlos, i reckon we could really enjoy this one.

Just another 350 pages to get through before July, 9 days, 35 pages a day, going to be tough.

Can be done, just need a few updates along the way and it'd be sorted!

Re: chelsea fans re tevez

I agree Gstar.

my bosses (twins) are both Chelsea mad, seaon ticket holders, go away in europe when they can etc etc
They believe we will finish top 4 next season, I don't, but they are convinced and reckon Arsenal will suffer next season, followed by Liverpool the next.
I really want to believe it but just can't. I admit, being a City fan has made me a pessimist. I just can't see us winning anything tho I am sure we will.
All I will say is that even one League Cup will mean more to me than all of the scums titles put together.
