Tevez [Merged]

According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, Manchester City have emerged as clear favourites to sign Carlos Tevez after he enrolled his child in a local school.

Apparently, his four-year-old daughter Florencia is due to begin her education at a private school in Cheshire this September, indicating that he will not be leaving the north-west during the summer.

Manchester United have already revealed that 'El Apache' will not remain at Old Trafford once his two-year loan spell expires at the end of June, while his representative Kia Joorabchian has previously stated that a move to Liverpool has been ruled out.

Therefore, Manchester City appear to be the only suitable candidates remaining who fulfil the criteria, with Chelsea seemingly out of the running.

It is also claimed that the Citizens will hand the 50-time capped Argentina international a contract worth £160,000-a-week, although the length of the deal is not yet known.

the bit about Tevez's kid enrolling in the school in Cheshire is true...info from my brother who works for a Manchester- based building firm whose owner lives in the same village as Tevez
