Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors!!!

No one will pay 40m for a chronic depressive who constantly talks about quitting football and hating the city he's playing in. Nevermind his parasitic agent.

Should strip him of the captancy and give to Kompany as soon as they report back for pre seaon training tbh

After his remarks about Manchester, I don't care if he never plays again.

I suppose there was more to do in Trafford was there?

If you read his comments about Manchester, he actually says that there is nothing for "him" to do because of "his" limited English.
And there is no getting away that England is a dull overcast place most of the time.
This is the very reason we all go to a sunny clime for our holidays.
Although down to himself, he's isolated from his family, culture and climate.
No wonder he admits he wouldn't come back......even for a holiday. (I feel the same way about London BTW!)
He just needs to make his mind up so we can all move on.

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

Tevez is great but Aguero is a very interesting prospect. Besides the team has shown signs of maturing and hence not dependent on Tevez to score anymore.

Of all the players I have seen in a City shirt over the years, I have never seen a player with so many off field issue's perform in the manner he has. If every player that was "happy" at the club gave what gives, when he crosses the white wash.

I'm getting totally sick of this Tevez saga, it's getting beyond a joke, the club are being humiliated.
I agree he is extracting the urine, we need to say enough is enough and put on the transfer list, and start to prepare for life without him.

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

Dear Mods, Is there any chance we can have a Tevez forum so anyone interested can go there, that would stop endless yawn threads on this forum

He's at the wrong age for a big money move now really. Not saying that no-one will come in for him but any buying club looking at the FFPR regs will be reluctant.

He's 27 and will want a 3 year contract (so he can move again) and any club paying £40m+ will only offer a 5 year one taking him to 32. Any club buying him now will be looking at £90m over 5 years (40m +10m per year wages) and he'll have a negligible resale value of £5-10m probably. If he doesn't get a move this summer the maths are going to get worse every year in terms of buying him unless he goes shit - and then who would want to buy him for big money and wages :-)

He's not a pin-up like Kaka, Tranny and others and he's also not Ballon d'Or winner etc so his commercial value isn't great in terms of selling shirts. He's probably worth it for his performances on the pitch but there are other players who provide better commercial value or who are younger etc they can look at maybe getting 7-8 years from e.g. Aguerro, Higuain, Cavani etc.

Finally, every club must look at his record over his career on how he jumps ship for a big payday every 2 years. Also the disruption he causes whilst engineerig his exit. I don't think his pushing for a move will ever change as long as he has a shout at engineering one although a CL winners medal and a couple of PL titles may convince him otherwise. Maybe a couple of the big ego clubs like Real and maybe Milans may think he'd be fine if they signed him but all his career so far points to the opposite.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't viewed as a poisoned chalice by most of the big clubs who could afford him and otherwise be tempted to bid for him.

IMO he's stuck with City and we're stuck with him, not too bad an option for City as he always gives 110% even when "unhappy" but he needs to knuckle down and just play as opposed to continually giving whining interviews to the press.

Edit: Having said all that, I wouldn't be disappointed if we got £45m and he disappeared to another club.
