Tevez [Merged]

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

After our great season we should have had a summer basking in the glow of success and getting excited about possible new transfers. Instead every day is filled with the thoughts of Tevez or his agent and it is clear to me that we are just being taken 'for a ride' by the two of them.

He has been back with his family for two weeks now so how much longer will it take to make a decision about coming back to Manchester. They are waiting until Madrid or Milan make a move and if they do then Tevez will suddenly reveal that he has now made a decision and has agreed with his family not to move back to Manchester. This family thing is being used simply as a stalling tactic and is totally messing up our transfer strategy for next season.

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

Doe's anybody not think the papers constantly dreaming up Tevez stories actually helps them sell the bloody things, last month it was Tevez books flight home and will miss victory parade "cue bluemoon in melt down never want to see him in a city shirt again brigade in full flow." Low and behold he's there and looked pretty happy about it as well. Why don't we all just wait and see what happens in close season sure the club will announce any developments personally i trust them to tell me the truth more then any red top paper who seem to have a bit of an anti City agenda.

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

And if he decides to stay the headlines will be:-

"I never had any doubts" etc etc..

Its like a pantomine! And what's more is that it is dragging the club down-once more-Get rid for me and get Aguero!

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

I hope Carlos is really pissed off next year scoring goals for fun in both the league and Champs League for us because at the end of the day he is paid to score goals and I coudn't give a monkey's if he is happy or not as long as he produces.

Like as been stated on here let the summer unfold and see what happens.

After his remarks about Manchester, I don't care if he never plays again.

I suppose there was more to do in Trafford was there?

If you read his comments about Manchester, he actually says that there is nothing for "him" to do because of "his" limited English.
And there is no getting away that England is a dull overcast place most of the time.
This is the very reason we all go to a sunny clime for our holidays.
Although down to himself, he's isolated from his family, culture and climate.
No wonder he admits he wouldn't come back......even for a holiday. (I feel the same way about London BTW!)
He just needs to make his mind up so we can all move on.

Tevez has been in England since 2006 ....

no reason whatsoever why he couldn't have made more of an effort to learn the language in that time .

He must also have been aware before he came here that our geographical location as a city , and as a country , meant that our weather was likely to be extremely changeable .... and in no way like the South American , or even Southern European climate.

Exactly - look at Zab and the efforts he's made with the language.

I think even if he stays, I would be unsuprised if he announced in November that he is quitting football for good.

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

He won't quit football for good. He'd be a lunatic.

With regards to the language, the reason some learn it quicker than others is intellegence. He doesn't have to be intelligent to be a good footballer.

It doesn't matter what reasons he stays for, whether noone will pay his wages, whatever. We need this man at MCFC and if he stays it will be great news for me.

All this rubbish about "he's dragging the club down" is just that, silly fan talk. WE've had this with Febregas, Gerrard, Ronaldo, all the top clubs get it. It doesn't drag them down, it's part of modern football.

Haha!

Sorry Dave, couldn't resist!

Re: Tevez likely to stay with City due to lack of suitors

The problem is that, whilst Barca, RM and Inter might not currently be willing to pay £40-50m and meet his wage demands, as long as this saga rumbles on there's always the possibility that one of them might indulge in a bit of brinkmanship and make a low offer, as the transfer window comes to a close. And that Tevez will then put pressure on the club to sell him, disrupting the start of the season.

Does anyone else think that Carlos might not realise that Khaldoon al Mubarak isn't the Sheikh?
