Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

given that herbert clearly is "near" the club i would say that the situetion is :

a) tevez want out

b) City want tevez out

c) ATM nobody is willing to pay tevez transfer fee

d) tevez will be out until the windows end for a very lowered fee

I think that (a), (b) and (c) are certainly correct. Not sure about (d).

The recent interview with Neil Ashton was no doubt conducted via Kia Joorabchian, who was in Buenos Aires at the time. Clearly much of what Carlos said was calculated to maximize the prospects of a lucrative move, whilst trying not to burn too many bridges, at least with Roberto, in case there turns out to be no club willing and able to buy him. At the same time, it is hard to explain all his comments in those terms. In particular, the talk about quitting at the age of 31 might seem to put some pressure on City to reduce their asking price but equally it could seriously deter prospective buyers. My own feeling is that Carlos and Joorabchian do not always sing from the same sheet, notably when Carlos is really addressing his own people in Fort Apache. It is worth recalling that, as far back as November 2009 when Hughes was still manager, Carlos was talking to the Argentine media about how much he hated playing in Europe and was saying that he was thinking of quitting after the World Cup (yes, last summer). And he has continued to grumble periodically to the Argentine media ever since. I don't know whether he has some sort of martyr complex or whether his wealth and glamorous lifestyle are an embarrassment when he is back home. Is there any Bluemooner out there with a training in both psychology and sociology, preferably with some knowledge of Fort Apache (or its like), who can enlighten us?

Exactly and I too was shit at school when doing French,so for people to harp on about Tevez trying to learn another language, just forget it.
you trying to learn french couple of hours a week in school is not the same as living in a country in 5 years and being a millionaire. With the time and money tevez has available to him, if he wants to he would learn the language by now. He can easily appoint the best teachers to give him private lessons on his spare time if he wants to. there's simply no excuse

I have to agree with you there bottom line he can't be arsed because he knows he'll be back in Argentina at 35 years old
If he is so lonely and doesn't go out in the evening as he claims, do the language lessons then, is it that he's not interested ?, we dont really know that for sure, he is from a very poor background where perhaps an education is not the highest priority, so maybe he doesn't read or write very well in any language including spanish, it's tough to learn a second language made almost impossible if you cant read and write, just a theory ??.

This was the point I was trying to get across ref our beloved owner.
Perhaps one and all have been told by SM to say nothing and try and keep Tevez sweet.

Tevez has already stated that he doesn't like , or even speak to , Gary Cook ..... and has scant respect for him at best , because he reckons Cook reneged on promises made to him ..... Tevez allegedly says that Cook means absolutely 'zilch' to him!.

It would appear that Tevez goes directly over Cooks head in negotiating with the Sheikh only , and chooses to ignore him entirely.

No Carlos take your time pal. You have been a fantastic servant to this club over the last two seasons. A consistent flow of goals, 100 percent commitment, you of all players deserve the time to make the correct decision about your future.

Its clear you are undecided, maybe you are hoping to persuade your family to move closer or its a real wrench choosing to leave a club on the up like City. Personally I dont know so I wont criticise you or make judgement on your position. Also i wont listen to the press, they have been against City all season, so I suddenly wont start to listen to there opinions when it suits an agenda.

Your goals last season and this have been a major part in us clinching european and now champions league football. Thank you.

You think i have an agenda? He's been on Argentina's version of Oprah, giving it large, and het turns to the scum that is Neil Ashton, who has slated him and City this season, and gives him some/lack of answers.

How cant Carlos let the fans know? I'll tell you why. Cos he thinks he runs the club. He likes to think he's bigger than the club. He likes to think he is the only player on the team.

PMSL....that's the biggest pile of agenda driven turd you could possibly have written. I'll spell it out for you...HE IS OUR BEST PLAYER...HE IS OUR LEADING GOALSCORER...AND HE DOES GET TREATED DIFFERENTLY THAN THE REST OF THE SQUAD...JUST LIKE MESSI DOES AT BARCA...RONALDO AT MADRID...SHREK AT THE RAGS...

And by the way, in answer to your hysterical "JUST TELL ME YES OR NO!" question. Yes, he's staying. You know it as well as I do...

If i had an agenda i wouldn't be wanting him to stay, but its about time he came out and told everyone what he's doing. I idolised the guy in his first season, and even more so up until he handed in his transfer request which says to me this person thinks he's better than the club.

No agenda, just an honest opinion.

I'm getting totally sick of this Tevez saga, it's getting beyond a joke, the club are being humiliated.

i dont think so, if he goes we get double what we paid for him, we replace him at say 100k a week and fall further in line with fair play shit.
