That, my friend, is 100% spot on and by far the best post I have read amongst a sea of total shite.

My glass is half full on this one and am waiting for Carlos to make a triumphant return and say that he has thought about things and is staying at City! It's all drama, it's a soap opera .... stirred up by the press over and over again. In 'normal' years gone by, the players finish the end of the season and that was that.

Now, Sky TV / Talksport etc have fuck all to talk about so they perpetuate 'stories' like this to maintain interest.

Have a rest Carlos, spend some time with your kids and come back to us ready to win us the league and the Champions League! If he does decide to leave, then he will go with my best wishes and City will carry on as before. Why does everyone get so worked up about some quotes taken out of context, some TV footage that is talked over by a translator and badly edited to show him laughing when he mentions Manchester .... and radio phone in after radio phone in regurgitating all this bullshit.

Carlos Tevez is a Manchester City player and until I see otherwise, he has my 100% support.

Why thank you kind sir....seems like we share a common interest! You are of course right with the media slant, the biggest mistake we can all make is to believe the shit they perpetuate. In the meantime, whilst the shit circulates, let us not lose our minds!

I don't know what you two are smoking but it must be good shit.

He's been on air in Argentina saying he hates Manchester and he is NEVER coming back. How much more evidence do you want, FFS?
Not coming back for a holiday after he finishes his football at City.

Slagging Manchester off, exactly how a captain should behave.

If he does stay he should be stripped of his captaincy, give it Kompany, someone more deserving.

since when did manchester become a holiday destination?

i didn`t know we had a beach,where is it?

and the manchester pleasure beach could do with a few more rides, that fuckin big wheel is beginning to get on my tits...

manchester and rain,a marriage made in heaven, always has been and always will be,the only time manchester becomes a holiday destination is when those nob jockeys pass through to have their little day out at the swamp and start jizzing into their megastore bags...

I agree. On the pitch he is a great example, off it he seems to have had a common sense bypass. Jesus, City have bent over backwards for this guy over the past year, allowing him time off, tolerating his daft transfer request and various other oddities. We pay his wages, he is under contract but bleats on about how he doesn't know whether he should be staying or not. Someone needs to show him a copy of the 5 year contract and show him where he signed and then inform him that no other club in the world can probably afford him at the moment. Then we have someone like Kompany, I don't think anyone would say he gives any less effort on the pitch than Tevez and off it he behaves impeccably, a true credit to the club.
Whether Tevez stays or not and frankly I don't think the decision is his (something he needs to friggin realise) although I'd love him to stay because he's an asset on the pitch...anyway, he doesn't deserve to be captain of City in my book.
Part of me is sick of all this pandering City are doing to the arrogant so and so and the other half is praying that he will deign to grace us with his considerable (and judging by the end of last season his expanding) presence next season.

I think what shouldn't be missed here is that Tevez; brilliant as he is, and indeed loved as he is, is probably not the most intelligent of people. In fact far from it. He has failed to pick up the language and fails to enjoy the gifts he has been given. He is just not very bright. I definitely would like to see him stay with us; and he always gives his best, as we know, but I just wish he would keep quiet.

Understatement of the year. He is dreadfully, appallingly thick.

Jesus christ will people ever actually read what he has said, it might have been unwise to say it in the current climate but it is simply stating the objective facts as they are.

Manchester is small and wet: Yes it is, particularly if you come from Buenos Aries.

He won't come back on holidays after he leaves: Nothing wrong with that, as many others have stated Manchester is hardly a mecca of tourism (well at least not until the Club are finished with their plans), particularly not for a footballer who generally like to spent there holidays relaxing on a beach somewhere. The vast majority on this forum would never dream of spending a holiday in Manchester if they weren't from Manchester or support City.

He hasn't slagged off the city at all and although it would be better to just say nothing I'm happier hes honestly telling it like it is than bullshiting about how much he loves the city one minute then doing a runner the next.

Spot on.

I can honestly say that if it wasnt for the love of my family and for the blues, I would have been out of England years ago.

Take football out of Manchester, and there is nothing to do! I challenge anyone to come up with 10 good reasons for Tevez to visit Manchester on holiday?!

In fact I challenge anyone to give me 10 good things to do this weekend, given the fact its forecast rain!
