How about this for a scenario

The Sheik says to him, "Stay til the end of your contract, then join Boca on a free and we will subsidise the wages for the 1st year while you are back there"

We get Tevez for another few years, paying some of his wage for another year is only the same as sending Bellamy on loan, and Tevez will be happy

he wont be happy any longer and his performance could dwindle. he is a terror and scores for fun but NOW it is the time to sell, for a big fee.

Tevez will give 100% every game, it's in his nature.

If he knows he's going home in 3 years, and City are helping to make that happen, it could even boost his performance

If the dream signings of Modric and Sanchez materialise do people think Tevez is more or less likely to stay?

Because a forward line containing those three along with Silva is simply mouthwatering.......

I think what having Carlos Tevez at City over he last two seasons has taught us is this: You cannot just go out and get a replacement for this bloke! Doesn't matter how much you spend, how 'big' the name is or what the reputation is of the player you're bringing in.

I have read and respected all the interesting posts on here, and against all my principles, I am finding myself in the 'lets keep him whatever it takes, or whatever he says' camp. The bloke is irreplaceable, but more than that, you are not taking a chance on him adapting to the English League as you may be with untried foreign players with big price tags. Did Torres settle at Chelsea? - No Has Dzeko lived up to our expectations - not yet - he needs time. Tevez puts his boots on and from day one and goes out there and demolishes the best defences the Premiership has to offer, no 'settling' in period, or fans saying 'oh he just needs time' or a 'pre season'.

Let's keep him, don't care if he's not happy, nor are many of us with our tough jobs, busy lives and sometimes broken families. We mustn't feel sorry for him as a PERSON - he is OUR asset and I want more of the same from my beloved City. Unlike other players who are not content Tevez still performs like a motor car as long as there is petrol in the tank. As my mate puts it: 'He doesn't know how to play shit'.

His passion for his children is genuine.

He has said: ‘I live for my daughters; everything I do, I do for them.’ Today he says: ‘It is great being here but it is going to be even more difficult to go back now. It’s great now, enjoying spending time with my family but it will be tough to go back. It’s a difficult situation when I’m not here.’
Including being selfish enough to jeopardise his capability of seeing them regularly by cheating on his mrs.
Can't do the time? Don't do the crime
Lying prick.
Or how about going home to see them when the club give him compassionate leave instead of using it for a week in Tenerife with his latest blonde?

These 2 posts sum up what i've been thinking.

Ive spent a season saying im not arsed if he leaves

I will be absolutely fucking gutted though

There.....I said it........

Re: Tevez Article: A Must Read

I like Tevez as a player but you cannot cheat on your wife and then make it everyones problem. His wife was here and he fucked around many, many times even being so bold as moving in with a younger woman. I respect his wife because she is obviously not a doormat like Mrs Giggs/Terry/Crouch etc, etc. He should just shut up and complete his contract.

Just want rid of him now. The City shirt should always be worn with pride and Carlos has zero pride in our club. He proved that by chucking away the red and black Neil Young scarf given to him at the Cup final, the man has no class and no respect. He thinks he's bigger than the club and for me he can fuck off, don't care how good he is.

I'd like to say he's been a hero while he's been at the club, but for me, a hero is more like a Rosler or a Goater, players with nowhere near the ability of Tevez, but a million times more respect and appreciation for the club and supporters who paid their wages.
