I agree 100% with the OP.

Why the fuck does tevez have friends? why should he smile? Why does he have to be a gentleman and laugh with the other team? absolute disgrace carlos, get the fuck out and dont come back until you learn not to smile after being defeated.

/ends sarcasm/

Must admit I couldn't agree less with the original post, how people behave after a game shows what class they have and how they take defeat not how hard they try and how much they care in a game. There are examples in all sports, Shane Warne could walk off the pitch on the losing side in the most important game of his life laughing and joking yet he is probably the best and most competitive player in cricket in the last 50 years, there are individuals in all sports who can do this and it just reflects that if they have lost fair and square they are mature enough and man enough to take it.

The reason we lost was very simple and that is in part due to age, in part due to experience and to be fair in part due to class in the centre of the park. if you watch the game whenever we got a chance we shot, we rushed the pass, we did the obvious. The critical difference was Scholes and Giggs who sometimes shot, sometimes played back away from goal, sometimes went wide, sometimes changed play from one side of the pitch to the other. Their experience, compsure and quality really shone through.

Now these two are two of the best players they will ever have over there, a young Giggs or Scholes would set you back 50m so replacing them both will simply not happen and i doubt they will have midfielders as good for decades. When they lose them they will replace them with players not fit to lace their boots. On the other hand we went in with our key midfielders in 2 cases having a good decade + left in them, the other a good 5 years, ours will get better (and we have the money to strengthen further) theirs will fade away and die.

Ultimately had we had some more experience and composure in the middle and a greater variety of passing we would have won the game, we didn't - so they did.

They know, we know and everyone knows though that Scholes and Giggs have maybe 18 months if they are very lucky and with any injury their careers could be over, they know they don't have the money to replace them and lets be honest even if they did they would probably replace them with lesser players.

Like the old Stag winning one last fight against the young buck they got over the top of us, but this young buck knows that with every fight we get closer, with every fight they get older and with every fight we are ever nearer to killing off the old stag, they will crawl off and die and we will dominate Greater Manchester football!

Top post!

Tevez is laughing with them after the final whistle... he scored three goals against them, pissed them off big time when he scored twice at his new home...
You really have to sort your head out.

To be fair Lionheart most of the posts in the thread are pretty spot on!

Not sure if the class comment above was aimed at my comments, when i talk class I talk footballing class and no one however vehemently we detest the Rags can deny that Giggs and Scholes are world class footballers who have served United phenomenally. I only hope we get two players as good who play as many games for us.

That said the be all and end all is they are finished by the end of next season and then the cupboard is bare they have nothing.

As our team gets more experienced we will start to see the balls out to the flanks, we will start to have the confidence to vary the play more and we won't feel the need to run and shoot anytime we get within 30 yards. Watch the second semi again and see just how many times out of our attacks as a % we boot the ball into the stand with a wild shot and always go quickly for goal and then watch the rags and you will see the difference. It is not heart, it is not even necessarily ability it is the experience of how to vary a game and vary an attack and not panic and the skill to execute. I have no doubt we have players with the skill to execute but it will be sometime before we have the coolness and experience to do it continually in big big games
