I (like every City fan) felt true compassion for Roberto last night, he looked like a truly broken man, he spoke from the heart and you could tell by his demeanour that what Gargoyle 'fuck' face did to him, the and more importantly the fans club last night cut him deep.
Roberto has gone right up to to tier 1 in my estimations and the club are very lucky to have him in charge. we need to put our arm around him and the team and give them our FULL backing.

I wonder if the club will be on the phone to Spuds in the morning asking for Defoe in January. Would make perfect sense and would be perfect backup for Aguero now it's looking like the end of Tevez. Why do I get the feeling they won't!

He will be on full basic pay pending the outcome of the investigation. To not pay him would be tantamount to pre judging the outcome.

City own his registration, that is what is bought when a transfer takes place. I am sure the club are investigating the possibility of cancelling his contract due to his breach but first they have to prove gross misconduct, if he has a good internal disiplinary record then it will count in his favour. If they decide to cancel then he will not be able to play football until his registration is purchased,allthis would need the santion of the FA. The reason for the two weeks maximum is due to the rules of the PFA, unless it is special circumstances then that is the maximum fine that can be imposed. I would guess that he will be paid during the investigation as he is innocent until proved guilty. I doubt that they could impose reserve team football as this may offer him the opportunity to walk out and claim constructive dismissal due to his status in the game it would also amount to restraint of trade, as he would argue that his earnings are being resticted. He may also have a case against the transfer window in that he is unable to move to another club thus damaging his status and commercial image
