Tevez suspended - OS

Are we only allowed to suspend him for 2 weeks? Seems very short, unless of course the upper echelons expect the inquiry to be sorted during that time and they already know what will happen.
I think the maximum fine a club can give a player is 2 weeks wages so it looks like it might be like that with a suspension, because i would like to have thought it would be longer.

We probably have to complete an investigation before withholding his pay. Just a guess, but otherwise it would be without cause.

He will undoubtedly face a significant fine when the investigation concludes.

Do uthink he'll be getting paid??

That will be Hermans biggest concern but as long as he never wears our shirt again I can't say I'm that bothered. It's only two weeks and hopefully we will see the back of him in a fortnight.

We should just get rid. Get whatever we can for him, and move on. All this 'rot in the reserves' nonsense is just that, nonesense. We get him to buy out his contract, and move on.

On the plus side, we have a core of dedicated players, they're the future. I'd love to know Vinny's, Zab's and Silvas take on all this.

Nice to see Fifa appear to be backing us in this case as well. Fifa Vice President said this on skysports:

"If Manchester City Football Club prove it, write to Fifa and state the exact circumstances that happened last night then I believe Fifa should have the power, as they do for drugs-related cases and other cases, to ban the player from taking an active part in football.

"I would have no problem with that whatsoever. It hasn't occurred before but I think what happened last night was despicable."

"I would have no problems if some sanctions were imposed by Fifa in that respect. People within the clubs and within the top level of Fifa need to discuss this aspect of the game.

"If Carlos Tevez does it, who's to say someone else doing it the next week or the week after? It could become a massive problem."

He will be being paid

The player’s suspension is pending a full review into his alleged conduct during Tuesday evening’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.

Once the review is finished then he will probably get fined, depending on the findings. Normal workplace practice....suspension on full pay while investigated.
Not much we can do about that.

Personally, fine him max possible then make him turn up to Platt Lane everyday for an 8 hour training session (alone), if he does not turn up fine him, for each no-show. Hopefully we never have to pay him again but he doesn't get the free transfer he is looking for. I am annoyed they let him travel back with the team, should have sent him for a standby at Munich airport. Few hours with the fans would have been "nice" for him

That's the thing Stony he won't give a fuck about losing 2 week's money because he now knows his pricetag has fallen meaning his next employers will probs pay him part of the difference.
