We will not be canceling his contract or suing him. That would make no sense for us financially.

Gardening leave until we get a decent offer in January. Perhaps a loan in the meantime.

Getting his wages off our books as of yesterday makes a LOT of financial sense.

Yeah, in the meantime I'd cut down his pay to the minimum. But we can't miss out on even a 20m transfer fee in January. I'm still hopeful we can get 30m.

We'd be taking a huge loss by canceling his contract.

We'll be suing him for any and all potential loss of earnings due to negligence.

Minimum 100mil.

We don't need a little transfer fee mate.he's fucked.

Nice to see Fifa appear to be backing us in this case as well. Fifa Vice President said this on skysports:

"If Manchester City Football Club prove it, write to Fifa and state the exact circumstances that happened last night then I believe Fifa should have the power, as they do for drugs-related cases and other cases, to ban the player from taking an active part in football.

"I would have no problem with that whatsoever. It hasn't occurred before but I think what happened last night was despicable."

"I would have no problems if some sanctions were imposed by Fifa in that respect. People within the clubs and within the top level of Fifa need to discuss this aspect of the game.

"If Carlos Tevez does it, who's to say someone else doing it the next week or the week after? It could become a massive problem."

Fifa backing us????? YCNMIU

He certainly will be paid.that's normal protocol any company.its our way of saying we didn't pre judge him before any investigation.

Once the investigation is done we'll sue the ass off him.

Something no one has thought of;

If we go out of CL we'll sue him for any potential loss of earnings.what's the kitty for the winners? ;-)

Back to the ghetto Carlos.

Employment law on Suspensions states that an employee CAN be suspended without pay under some circumstances:

"Suspension from work
While the disciplinary or dismissal issue is being looked into, your employer may be able to suspend you. You should be told why you are being suspended.

If your employment contract allows you to be suspended without pay, your employer can do so, so long as they are acting reasonably. If your employment contract does not say that your employer can do this, your employer may still be able to suspend you, but with pay. To make it clear that this isn't a punishment, the suspension will be on full pay in most cases.

You keep your employment rights while suspended. If you don't get the right pay you may be able to make a claim to an Employment Tribunal for 'unlawful deduction from wages'.

While suspended, you may be told not to talk to other employees, customers and/or suppliers. If this stops you defending yourself, it may be grounds for appeal. It is up to you whether you listen to this but your employer may take further disciplinary action if you don't."

Also, as an ex-Union official, I would assume that in the formal hearing the person in question (whose name I refuse to type) will be represented by the PFA assuming he has paid his union fees!!

I do not think that being a footballer changes the actual employment law issues. But if anyone else thinks I am wrong then I would stand corrected.

p.s. I would concur with the person who reckons we follow all the proper protocols and policies to make sure that his (*spit*) advisors cannot come back later and say we had done anything wrong and then sue us for wrongful dismissal et al. Get rid of him in a legal and above board manner and let the.................. sorry can't swear but I am sure you can finish that sentence for me!! :-)

That isn't going to happen. He'll walk away without paying a penny.

Do uthink he'll be getting paid??

He shouldn't bloody be, It's gross misconduct and summary dismissal if ever I saw it.

Just think, he has earn't more this week for refusing to do what most of us would die for than the majority of us on here will earn working for the next 6 years !! That sums everything up for me !!

I hope we can sue him for his market value and bankrupt the little shit

Ur dreaming Jay.

The sheikh will have taken this as a slap in the face.

FIFA need to set precedent and will actually help us do this.

He is fucked.

Don't worry about the cash

MCFC need to make a statement on this one by taking this to court

Witnesses are the key and I think we may have them.

There is no meantime. If we cancel his contract it will be retroactive to last night. We would miss out on a transfer fee assuming we can't sue for that but that is the price for not getting rid of him this summer.

If his wages are off the books that is close to 15 million pounds saved. If he is subsequently banned from world football for at least the remainder of this season I think its a worthy price to pay to save football. City saving football since 2011.
