I have a bad feeling I'm the only one who thinks this so I will expect abuse and will very much take it on the chin.

No,i agree,Carroll will come good.

His confidence and fitness is returning, today you could see the trouble he was causing,he uses his body well and makes some superb assists,i actually think him and Aguero could run riot.

As for a straight swap however - not a fookin chance, but throw in Agger and the deal is on......

Yeah my mate said the same thing, I believe Tevez's value is dropping and fast, first we wanted £60M then £50M then it was £35M now it's £25M at this rate we'll end up selling Tevez to Corinthians for £5M subjected to random bonuses..

Carroll? Do me a favour. Yup, let's abandon our passing and possession game, bypass midfield and just lump the ball up to our Andy and hope for the best. Jeez!

What makes people think that Carol will come good?

It's well known he has lifestyle issues, he had one good season in the championship and half a good season in the prem, sorry he will never be fit to lace Teves's boots.

In a few years time he will be playing for a lower league club (Carol that is) everyone knows that the Dippers cocked up signing him, they are just trying to find a way out that saves them as much face, can you see anyone offering more than 7 million for him?

You mean like Wolfsburg use to do with Dzeko??? You don't have to change your game plan to suit one player ya know...

If Suarez wasn't the most hated man in British football I'd definitely consider a Tevez for Suarez deal. He may be an odious diving creature but Suarez would fit our system perfectly.

Personally id have Carroll. But not a straight swap and to think they are equal talents is outrageous even allowing for the Tevez situation.

Carroll + £10m i deal at.

Carrol needs crosses to play his game.. We dont even play that way, one of the reasons Dzeko struggles to compete!. We are very much a passing side.

Carrol is a NO NO! IMO very overrated for the money paid for him, if he was bought for 5-10m then i would say it not too bad!!

Talk about silly season, nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the Guardian print it.

Not only does it imply Carroll is as valuable as Tevez, it also values Carroll at 25m.

I can't believe a serious club would offer this. Henry is a moron and should have stuck to baseball. Whoops his baseball team is failing too, he is just a failure.

For newcastle and Liverpool last year he was a £15m player. He did actually boss Kompany in the game at anfield and you can't say many have done that. I do think he is better than his Liverpool career thus far. But a straight swap is ludicrous.

However i think we possibly showed an interest before Liverpool bought him hence their offer. Can't see them offering this deal otherwise
