fingers crossed mancini is taking a leaf from fergie's book. when rooney did his foot fergie ruled him out straight away saying "the kid is in a bad way" he trained inside behined closed doors all week, went to the ground on a different coach, then guess whos in the team against byern.....

I too have a sneaking suspicion this may be a fergie-esque scam by Mancini............seems odd there's been no medical update from inside City, or even a rumour. Was this some massive sherade?

And was going on to lose in a very poor display with no attacking threat part of this crafty plan ? Demoralising the team, allowing Spuds the ability to go level in the league which is the priority and all this just off the cuff from a twinge.

Get over it, he's picked up an injury and wont be available at weekend. (The mythical Fergiescum scenario above is also well wide of the mark, Shrek was known to be on Treadmills, Oxygen tents, hydrotherapy treatments etc indoors well before and was speculated days before to be possibly available. He also travelled with the team not some magical MI5 mystery mobile to get him there. People give Whisky nose to much credit, 90% of what he does isnt mind games its just childish digs at those he doesnt like)

i just think its starange theres no update. as soon as richards was injured in was on the website the folloiwng morning, what he had done, how bad it is and how long he will be out for. same with boetang, we new straint away he would need an operation an miss a few weeks. its just silet with tevez, he will have deffo have had his scan and the results by now so why the big silence. if hes out just confirm it.

I was chatting to a sports' therapist last night who works alongside some major physios at clubs. She (and she is a blue) said it didn't look like it was torn from the mechanics of the incident and his reaction. She considered it looked more like it had tightened from potentially not warming up sufficiently and he had come off as a precaution.

She felt that with the correct treatment this week with physio and massages, heat treatment, cold compression etc there would be a chance he could be fit. But ultimately, none of us have a clue to the severity as we haven't seen the results of any scan.

We will all know on Saturday when the team is announced. In the meantime, lets not post having digs at people who have alternative opinions.

We need to stand together whether he plays or not.

i never said he torn it,im saying he wont play on saturday,and id wager anything on it with sum1 who wants to and also that no bloody mindgames are being played

I agree with this.

I would be very surprised if he had torn his hammy based on the complete lack of drama when it happened. If you genuinely pull your hamstring, it's f***ing painful and you're usually rolling around in agony, not strolling around clutch a sore buttock.
