TGI Fridays

The TGI Fridays on the Haymarket in London used to be the busiest restaurant in the country, but as others have said it's "very 1990's".

1990's!? I first went in the 80's.

My daughters loved it when they were little and we had to go quite often; at 12, still quite like it but they have plenty of other places that they will go now. The one in Reading was very convenient on the way home after shopping. However they now understand that Dolce Vita is the best place to eat in Reading.

I do think the TGI ribs have always been pretty good and I do like the JD sauce. I also have a soft spot for the Apple Waffle pudding thing.

It's not haute cuisine and definitely not cool but does a job.

I've never been. Although I've never had KFC either.

You'r missing nothing mate. There's a reason most normall folk eat kfc once every three years. It takes that long to forget how disgusting it is. Within 5 mins of eating it, you will have stomach cramps and will shit through the eye of a needle. They don't call it dirty bird for nothing.

I've had kfc once in my life, was disgusting. Never again.

I have it once a week. Usually straight after footie training Thursday nights.

It pisses me off that its about 40% cheaper in the states for the same menu.

Which is why their top boss here in the UK has a flat in London, a house in Oxfordshire, an apartment in New York City and a villa in Spain...oh, and she is gorgeous...and single...and sadly...gay. (And could drink most men I know under the table, lol)

So at TGI’s tonight for a nephews birthday…. Previously commented on another thread about it being overpriced and gone downhill, however having just looked at the menu I thought it was worth another rant!

A can of Dr Pepper 330ml…. £4.20

Four pound fucking twenty, scandalous.

But not to worry, it’s buy one get one free on cocktails all day every day….. £16 pounds each

Sixteen fucking pounds. That’s not BOGOF, that’s putting the prices up and falsely claiming it’s on a good offer.

Barely any adult main courses for under £20.

Don’t expect the ones that survived the recent collapse to stay open much longer!

16 quid for a cocktail? Fuck me, you'd get one in central London at a proper cocktail bar and not pay that.
