I know a few on here like Thailand,and i think i might just take a couple of weeks holiday there later on this year.Just wondered where the best places are to visit and who i might get a good flight/hotel deal with.

You can get GREAT deals on hotels in Thailand right now. Tourism is a large part of the economy but has been battered by recent political turmoil. That turmol is bubbling under the surface. However, I would strongly advise a trip there as its a very safe place. You are way safer there even with the turmoil that in, say, South Africa during the World Cup.

It depends what you want. There are PLENTY of islands/beaches. If you want nightlife you have the tat and sleaze of Pattaya. You also ahve Phuket, which is a lot less in your face than Patts.

The pound has taken a huge beating v the baht but things are still quite cheap-especially if you can eat the local Thai food. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!!!!

Best holiday Ive ever had (yet), I stayed in Cape Panwa which is a bit out of the way, but then I like it like that.

I'm also thinking of going in July but the flights are pretty expensive compared to what they used to be.
Phuket's nice and not sleasy like Pattaya. Krabbe is supposed to be beautiful. Where ever you go you'll not want to go home!

I used to think that until I went on the City tour. Then I saw how fit some of them are and quickly changed my mind

depends what you want to do i did bangkok , krabbi and koh samui last year all great in different ways
