I think Thaksin will always divide fans.
His place in our history will always be subject to "what if."
I didn't like the way he started to meddle and I am glad he is no longer here for that alone. However, he DID have the "contacts" that probably allowed the deal on September 1 and that will always be his saving grace for me.
No bitterness from me, but he will probably end up as just a footnote in our history when they write the books on this period of time.
