Thank You Ederson Moraes

Will always be a legend of this club. Gutted he didn't get a farewell game.

You've said it all, so thanks big man you were sensational.
Would love to have seen him play just one game as an outfield player, i reckon he was good enough.

Nothing against David James but it's criminal that he got a go and Eddie didn't!

For the time being he remains fairly unique and I suspect they'll be some backsliding in terms of how keepers are utilised but I guess there's now a generation of little Eddies coming through who in years to come will further redefine what you can expect from a keeper.

Legend, great memories and what a time with him here, all the best for him, won everything here.

Thank you so much Ederson. This makes me feel more sad than most departures. Eddy has been absolute key to how City have played in the most successful period in our history. What a class act and a great, great goalkeeper and indeed footballer. Very best wishes Ederson and family. You were phenomenal, a legend and a joy.

Couldn’t have said it better. Every word of this and more.

Really sad as many have said.

A forgotten memory of him - in Pep's first season when we had the fight in the tunnel with Mourinho's Man United he was rumnoured to be the one right at the front taking them on.

Ederson was (is) an utterly unique goalkeeper. His part in all the trophies won in his time here cannot be understated. He has set a template for future goalkeepers and revolutionised the position, making it more glamorous for any young footballer. Thanks for everything you have done for my club and I wish only the very best for you and your family in the future. Thanks Eddy.

HIs statue should be of him holding a carton of milk ready to launch it.

Bye...never been his biggest fan. I can see, of course, how his style has helped at times but his lack of top class shot stopping has also cost us. People go on about the CL Final and the few saves he made there, mainly because it's the only game they can recall where he actually saved us.
Cost us big time in other big CL moments...Lyon QF, Feyenoord last season, Madrid H & A 22 (didn't save anything over 2 legs despite our dominance of both games), Liverpool A QF, Spurs home 2021 QF, presenting Havertz (who'd had an abysmal 1st season and had rock bottom confidence) with an open goal in the Final by charging out the box.
The fact he has been available for nearly 2 years and no other recognised top tier club has shown any interest in him should say it all to many, but most are blinded by his ability with passing/kicking. Was becoming increasingly worse at judging when to come out and "tackle" attackers outside the box and penalty saving record during 90 minutes was appalling.
So, thanks Eddie for being part of our success and good luck. Yeah, I know Eddie has his fans on here and they'll all be weeping into their lattes over his departure but there's more to being a good GK than just being a good passer of the ball.
Hopefully, our new GK will show that in due course. He did it last season in the CL games v Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal when he played a huge part in getting PSG through those ties.

As worthy of a statue as Kev. He's changed goalkeeping forever and been pivotal to the most dominant team in England to have ever played football. Ultimately the most fundamental pillar to that success. I have no idea why people seemed to forget that over the last season or two, but they're about to find out how good he was.

A revolutionary if ever there was one. He was one of very few who changed how the game is played. Best of luck and happiness to him. Served us very well and I'd thank him for it if I ever got the privilege.

I don't think his errors cost us more than anyone else (including Pep). But I can see why it's time to change.

A joy to watch from the start, what a footballer with his feet and passing range. Not many players can say they changed how football is played. He did, he changed how goalkeepers play. Legend for City.
Always remember first game seeing him live and was in awe as he pinged a 60 yard pass right onto Sane's toes.
