You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.

He benefited from playing for a successful side who would average over 70% possession most games. Chances at his goal for a few years was quite minimal. That isn't to take away from his golden gloves, but lets have it right, that wasn't because he was making worldies every week.he was an outstanding goalkeeper, thats why he won 3 golden gloves in 8 years. Only Peter Czech and Joe Hart won more. They both won 4 in 15 seasons!

I love the fact that Mourhinho would have had to walk back into the rags dressing room, drenched, stinking of milk and looking like a soft twat whilst still listing to us celebrating!Just more to elevate his status as a City great.
As did Schmeichel, Seaman, Czech, Grobberlaar, Allison and Van der Sar! (they all won the league and European Cup (except Seaman) and arguably played behind better defenses than Ederson ever did at City). He benefited from playing for a successful side who would average over 70% possession most games. They could be both tbf. What a mealy mouthed post. If you can’t see what he’s given the club over the last 8 years you’re either blind or stupid.
I agree they had better defences, in terms of shots at goal though I imagine Ederson faced less, for the very simple reason of our possession game. If we have the ball for three quarters of the game then you are reducing massively how many attempts will be at your goal. It's no coincidence that when that game left us last season, Ederson had a stinker of a season. As did Schmeichel, Seaman, Czech, Grobberlaar, Allison and Van der Sar! They are all classed as greats of the game! However, not one of them have achieved any of the below, Ederson achieved them all in 8 seasons! He also has more trophies than them all!
No GK has ever won more English league titles than him
No GK has ever won 4 English league titles in a row
No GK has ever won the English domestic Treble
No GK has ever got 100 points in the Premier League
No GK has more assists!
No GK has won the treble without loosing a game in the Champions league!
He didn't benefit form us,City benefited from him him mate!
One of a kind

Fair point and a very good reply mate! Maybe I was being a tad biased ha!I agree they had better defences, in terms of shots at goal though I imagine Ederson faced less, for the very simple reason of our possession game. You are going off track when the original point was about his golden gloves. Great achievement but absolutely a team achievement. United won the treble without losing a game if I remember rightly. Also you nicely tuck in the word treble when it was our back up keeper in goal who won us the fa cup, conceding one goal in the process that was a dodgy pen.
He absolutely benefited from being in our team. Put him in a relegation threatened team and he isn't a keeper that will keep you up. Put any of the keepers there you mentioned in one and they will make countless saves. We did benefit from him too though you are very right. The best goalkeeping feet in the game ever and it allowed us to be so successful too.
The CL final save from this angle…
