Thank You Ederson Moraes

Thank you and all the best Eddie. A model of consistency over many years from the ultimate 'Mr. Cool' but THAT save in the last minute of the CL Final....!!! Thanks again
His model of consistency was conceding the first shot on target consistently. His ability with his feet was brilliant. His ability with his hands was up there with Sooty

That’s another City great leaving without acknowledgment from the fans, same as Silva Sergio what the fuck is going on

Reinvented the goalkeeper's position. In the end it's a shame that he didn't want to stay for one more cycle as he's not at all over the hill for a keeper. Looks like he just wanted a new challenge.

Some of the assists and some of his play on the ball was beyond anything the game has ever seen. And he was a proper mad head.

Still gutted we never saw him play outfield for us.
Tbh I am glad Pep avoided doing that, he played it really smart there. If he had done that, the media would have gone crazy and not in a good way, accusations of Pep disrespecting his opponents would have been thrown all over the place.

But I would bet that if that same thing was done by Klopp, they would have found a way to tie it into some "kid's" life long dream to see a goal keeper play in midfield or something to do with a memorial, either way some kind of sentimental event would be connected to it and Klopp would be crowned the manager with the kindest heart in the league. Pep played it smart by avoiding this.

He is the most underrated (by the media) player we have ever had!

No GK has ever won more English league titles than him
No GK has ever won 4 English league titles in a row
No GK has ever won the English domestic Treble
No GK has ever got 100 points in the Premier League
No GK has more assists!
No GK has won the treble without loosing a game in the Champions league!

No Goalkeeper has ever changed the way keepers are now required to be able to play football!

Ederson did all of the above in 8 years!

Many posters have said he is a crap shot stopper and a crap keeper. Both untrue. He was the best gk in the world for what we needed.
Mate just remind them that he is the most successful goalkeeper to ever play in English football. And it only took him 8 seasons

You are right, he was the best in the world for what we needed which was all foot related. He wasn't a great goalkeeper by definition but great for us.

Thank you Eddie, you are a club legend and a huge part in our success. Whilst I am one of his critics you cannot ignore his influence on our success. Good luck
he was an outstanding goalkeeper, thats why he won 3 golden gloves in 8 years. Only Peter Czech and Joe Hart won more. They both won 4 in 15 seasons!

Been a monster for us over the last 8 years. Gonna miss the big man. Showed real guts to come back as soon as he did after that kick in the head from Mane. Good luck to him and I wish all the best to him and his family.
It was class when he spoke to Mane the next time we played them! Poor Mane shit himself, not a single dipper player helped him!

Proper hard bastard Ederson! I'd love to know why he got that Acid smiley face tattooed on his neck?

In 8 he has won the league the same amount of times as Chelsea have in their 120 year history!

In fact there are only 6 English teams who have won more league titles in their history than our Eddie!

Liverpool fans still boo him for faking that injury and getting Mane sent off…….

Amazing times at City - good look in Turkey (apart from when you come back in the CL this season)

Bye...never been his biggest fan. I can see, of course, how his style has helped at times but his lack of top class shot stopping has also cost us. People go on about the CL Final and the few saves he made there, mainly because it's the only game they can recall where he actually saved us.
Cost us big time in other big CL moments...Lyon QF, Feyenoord last season, Madrid H & A 22 (didn't save anything over 2 legs despite our dominance of both games), Liverpool A QF, Spurs home 2021 QF, presenting Havertz (who'd had an abysmal 1st season and had rock bottom confidence) with an open goal in the Final by charging out the box.
The fact he has been available for nearly 2 years and no other recognised top tier club has shown any interest in him should say it all to many, but most are blinded by his ability with passing/kicking. Was becoming increasingly worse at judging when to come out and "tackle" attackers outside the box and penalty saving record during 90 minutes was appalling.
So, thanks Eddie for being part of our success and good luck. Yeah, I know Eddie has his fans on here and they'll all be weeping into their lattes over his departure but there's more to being a good GK than just being a good passer of the ball.
Hopefully, our new GK will show that in due course. He did it last season in the CL games v Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal when he played a huge part in getting PSG through those ties.
Come on mate! He won 3 golden gloves in 8 years!

Czech and Allison combined havn't won more league titles than him, never mind a treble or 4 in a row!

Obrigado por tudo que você fez pelo nosso amado clube. Nenhum goleiro, e quero dizer nenhum, é melhor com a bola nos pés. Você define um novo padrão para o jogo. Desejo-lhe boa sorte!

Eddie will forever be a City great and the fact that we all saw him play now that is history.
