Thank You Kyle Walker

He was part of some great teams here. The start of his decline may have been the CL final which he wasn't picked for. I actually think he has plenty of speed left and it's all in his head. His reaction speed when deciding what to do has slowed down. If I'm right, that's recoverable.
So good luck Kyle! As has been said, keep your todger in your pants, your mouth shut (don't ruin your legacy here) and stay away from the bunny boiler.

Without him we dont win all of the 15 major pots we trousered during his time with us.

An immense player and a man for the big occasion. Pocketing Vinicius Jnr in THAT semi-final in 2023 probably a highlight. His pace was something else and often got him 2-3 bites at the cherry even if he missed the first tackle.

Kyle was an integral part of arguably the 3 greatest City sides of all time
- 2017/18 and 100pts (never done before or since by anyone)

- 2018/19 The Domestic Clean Sweep (never done before or since by anyone)

- 2022/23 The Treble season and City's first European Cup winning side, that also went on to win the European Super Cup and World Club Championship - Again we are THE only English club to hold all 5 at the same time having won them all in the same calendar year

How we replace him will be difficult. A super player - thanks to him for his service.
 
An absolute beast of a player for us, one of our best signings ever but still feel a little let down by the way he finally left. We need him now more than ever and I just think his timing is off.

He’s obviously gone for personal reasons rather than footballing ones regardless of what he says. If he’d kept his cock in his pants we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Sorry but I’m just not fawning over a guy who while yes was a fantastic footballer, was a complete and utter dickhead of a human being and an embarrassment to the club off the pitch.

Zabaleta represented everything great about this club on and off the pitch and was the perfect role model.

Got dropped for the CL final and took it well enough to give a pre-match speech that by all accounts was a huge boost for the players. So much so they made him captain the following season. He did a lot of shit off the field but clearly had the respect of everyone within the club still.
 
Turned out to be a much better signing than I thought he'd be. Won a shitload of trophies for us and proved to be arguably the best English right back in modern times, and probably the quickest - ever! It was great to have him in his best years, and where he could flourish with great players all around him.

Earned a shitload of money with us. Got loads of credit and adulation from the club and the fans. A simple lad from Sheffield who won't ever have to do any real work for the rest of his life. It was great while it lasted but went sour when his personal life became public property due to his own stupidity.

This isn't a positive story. Nor is it false.

Sam Lee is reporting on something that is both true and relevant, just because you might not like it doesn't make it "shit stirring".

The cold hard fact is Kyle Walker left under a cloud of his own making and while was an exceptional footballer in his prime on the pitch, is a weak and pathetic man off it with little respect for other people.

Pep literally said it in the press conference. It’s as factual as it could possibly be.

Walker did a Cancelo and chucked his toys out of the pram. The only difference is that the club managed it more quietly this time.

A bit harsh there. However, I do suspect there's element of truth with being slightly weak of character.

I don't doubt both Pep & Kyle had a great relationship & its probably because of this that Kyle couldn't do another face to face with Pep about his future. A bit like when you've got some bad news & you sometimes procrastinate & take the easy option.

Also the last time Kyle spoke face to face with Pep about his future he did a U-turn & stayed at the club instead of pursing his interest in Munich. Kyle probably didn't want to be talked out of this time round, which Pep is more than capable of doing.
