Thank you NHS

Went for a diabetic eye test this morning, 10.43 appointment, decided to walk round and get there early. As soon as I arrived ( early ) I was taken through. The guy, an optowhatsit, then apologised for being early and said it was due to 3, ( three people not bothering to turn up in the morning......) not turning up to booked appointments.....costing money and wasted time for other bookings. He explained that because the service is free people dont put a value on the service. Some people dont deserve the NHS, these people should be struck off the register and left to suffer !!!!

Interesting. Does he think the laser treatment is to do away with the injections. Obviously I am a patient and not an expert and my problem is a small blood vessel in my eye burst and my vision is wavy in one eye. For instance when doing a vision chart for that eye I have to constantly move my head and can only read to the third line. Is the laser just to stabilise the vision at that level like the injections or does it correct it to pre macular levels that is what interests me and the level of improvment since treatment. I go to Manchester for my injections.
Hiya mate, got most of his story now.
My dad has been having injections in his left eye for eight years now and had thirty two in total,he had an operation on his left eye for a cataract a few years ago,the new false lens he was given as recently started to " mist up and go foggy " , the laser treatment was for that, apparantly the lens can " crease or fold " slightly and the laser treatment was for that,to puncture the lens which then unfogs and clears his lens ,its done the job so far for him.
Best wishes mate.
