Thanks for filling Wembley....you're banned!

Could this be a plan to unsettle whores? They may think twice before buying and selling on if there is a risk of a ban.

I've touched on this before. Whores desperate for the points sell to anyone who gets in touch. People They don t know or even met , and usually with no post history. They could be touts, rags and of course club officials checking up. Beware of who you sell "spares" to.
This story could be totally unrelated but it's a thought.

Bill it is totally unrelated to touting. I will say once again the tickets were not sold on the tickets were used by the guys they were for, they were seen in the stadium during and after the game.
Not sure even if people wanted to tout they'd of had much success given the easy availability of tickets.
I just don't get why city can't just say in writing in the letter what it is you are allegedly accused of.
The letter they send tells you nothing and you have to waste time because your first response has to be what have I done.
With the derby a couple of days away it is a race against time to get it resolved not helped by city's lazy initial response.
My point however remains in that even if that person sold it for a grand/invaded the pitch/punched a steward why should you be held responsible when it is not your actual seat but simply an extra seat you purchased for others with the full blessing of city.
The reason city ban you for issues at the etihad is because its your seat and the likelihood is until proven otherwise it is you in that seat however here quite clearly its not as the buyer already had their seat as the club know cos their records show that

City stewards were working the game could be anything to do with them reporting something back to the club ?

The chasm between the club and the fan's grows wider and wider with each passing season. Going to a game is no longer enjoyable it is becoming a chore, something we do out of some brainwashed sense of loyalty that has been ingrained in us over the years. It is no longer a stress relief from everyday life it now just adds to that stress.

We are monitored, pushed, prodded, searched, treated like a suspect criminal by some wet behind the ears moron in a high visibility jacket, this is before we even get into the ground. If we lose our rag we are threatened with being banned. Inside the ground isn't much better and hanging over our head are a whole raft of rules and regulations half of which you are not aware of until you fall foul of one. In spite of a far superior transport infrastructure, on paper, than we have ever had getting home appears more problematic than it ever was.

On the field of play the obvious bias of the officials is becoming even more blatant and bold with each passing game. I never celebrate a " Goal" spontaniously now until I have double checked if the cheat in black has allowed it. Penalty calls not given and allowing our opponents to kick our star men out of the game with impunity before booking almost every challenge by a player in blue. All this without a whimper from the club so the bias grows more and more bold, like a badly behaved child left unchecked they run amok and destroy our hopes and dreams in the process. Like a bullied victim we grow exhausted by it all until we just want out and for us that out is just walking away from the whole sorry mess that is modern football and the club I once loved but I now hardly recognise anymore.

My partner thinks I wrote this as it is my feelings to a tee. I'm sure the football we're playing is very technically gifted but that last home game against Hull bored me rigid. I'm really not sure I can be arsed next season, maybe give up the season ticket and just take in one or two games.

Who can search him. Stewards cannot can they?

The police might be for what reason really. If caught smoking simply get escorted out. Go to the nearest pub and watch the rest of the game. No need to be searched or give your name. Do not make a scene.
Smoking carries a ban.If you get caught and refuse to give your details then expect to be searched by the Old Bill. Its not as straightforward as you seem to suggest,if the Stewards want to make a scene out of it.And we all know the fuckers want to do that.

I support non smoking in the stadium but it isn't a criminal offence so for the life of me I cannot see how a police officer has the right to search you for doing so.

City reallly are becoming a law unto themselves with this desire to live up to the emptihad jibes by keeping as many seats empty as possible during the games.
They invite you to apply for two extra Tickets on your seasoncard to help shift tickets they cant then as a thankyou they ban you with no explanation right before the derby!
This isn't me its hapoened to just a guy I know he doesn't know what's gone on but he saw the guys who he got Tickets for at full time so they weren't thrown out.
Point is if city allow you to buy extra tickets should you really be held accountable for others actions? I know you are if its your actual seat but when city invite you to buy more and then penalise you its a bit hard faced in my view and is another example of the club driving a wedge between them and the match going fan.

I would encourage anyone who's been banned or got in trouble at the football to get in touch with Amanda Jacks at the Football Supporters Federation. (On twitter her handle is FSFFairCop).

Always seek free, independent legal advice if you're arrested (should be available at any police station).

OP - get the person banned to explain their situation to her (and do give her the full honest truth). She will advise them as best she can.
