Thanks Pep for calling out the ref (and Liverpool fans)

“Milner should have received a second yellow but didn't. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola suggested in his post-match interview that he wasn't surprised by the referee's decision, after all it was Anfield. It's true and it used to happen in my day and it's time it stopped.”

well said Garth Crookes
You know what they say about stopped clocks, I suppose.

Reminds me of a Chelsea game at home where everything rolled up into one game. Fabregas committed 15 fouls that game without a booking and was still there at the end to get Dinho sent off. Like it or not, Chelsea are now part of the 'elite' too as their last 3 games against us proves.

Cheeseman called it out and that was the last game he ever did for the BBC.

After that farce of a match Pep was a bit sniffy with a BBC reporter who questioned whether City had a discipline problem, and that arsehole Jason Mohammad on Radio 5 lost his mind, screaming for callers to phone in and lambast Pep.

That was a bad day for football, the worst officiating I've ever seen, worse than yesterday, the ref completely lost control of the match.

That game was Pep's welcome to the Premier League from the powers that be.

Anfield and its so called hostile atmosphere is built up and created by the media.
The scouse cretins act out accordingly
One title in 31 years, and yet the place is described as a ‘fortress’, an unrivalled atmosphere, no team can play there, unique fans, so on and so forth…

Absolute horseshit.

In reality the whole experience is contrived and sanctimonious - the media play it up so they can wheel out some easy platitudes about a shithole of a city which in truth offers nothing worthy of praise. This by extension provides Carte Blanche for persistent shithouse behaviour from the gullible fan base, which is never properly addressed by the authorities.

These games, the build up, the media narrative before kick off, the behaviour of the scallies, the refereeing and all the after match coverage has become all so predictable……..Salah best player in the world (tick) Klopp greatest prem manager ever (tick) Crap anthem watched instead of Sly going to ads (tick) roll out of famous reds/rats (tick) Minutes silence (tick) throwing objects before game (tick) vitriol towards our players & staff (tick) Liverpool win? Oh! That’s one defeat in eight now & given the nature of that first half & Spitty’s body language after the game you know we’ve figured you out & you’re gonna have to be near perfect to take our title

I've just seen the highlights. How is that not a penalty by Milner on Foden? Could it be that it was in the Dipper area? Blatant foul and blatant cheating by the ref. How does VAR not call that back? it's a fuckin' scandal that requires OMR's resignation. Some hope of that, mind!
I think the reason he didnt give a foul was because he thought it started outside the box and he would have had to send Milner off
