Was it Chappy’s Missus??Chappy is a top bloke, the players loved him but it wasn't just him who Mancini rattled
I think it was Chappy’s deputy they got upset wasn’t it?

I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke but ‘Chappy’ seemed like a proper irritating bastard when he used to do stuff for City TV. Based on that I’m not surprised Mancini treated him like shit, he’d do my head in after 30 seconds as well.
Not a question to you, but seriously why have VAR if it isn't plugged into all "big" decisions? Everyone over the age of 3 knew that was a game-changing decision.Just the ref. Var doesn’t get a say in such decisions.
It's because they have to draw the line somewhere. Not a question to you, but seriously why have VAR if it isn't plugged into all "big" decisions? Everyone over the age of 3 knew that was a game-changing decision.
Why the hell is VAR "unable" to interfere like it's a court without jurisdiction? It's a guy in a booth with a coffee and he's watching the game anyway - why not ask him to look at it?
Why not check every "big" decision though, giving subjective authority to the VAR official to make that call? Would think any bone-rattling second-yellow challenge would make that cut. Would expect bizarre no-calls in good freekick positions to get checked as well.Given that the standard for giving a yellow is much lower than a red, then checking all potential second yellows would be MANY times that number of VAR decisions.
These injustices are much more likely to keep him here id say and keep him fired up!Just changing tack a little I was heartened to hear Pep saying how much he loved the PL. Hopefully that means he'll want to extend his stay here when his contract is up for renewal - for at least another 5 years!
Chappy or Mancini? One destined to be sitting with the footballing gods when his time on this mortal coil is complete. The other going to the great big launderette in the sky.he blocks you if you have a different opinion to him
bless chappy
The problem is that the rules for yellows are so much broader than red, and it's clearly much more subjective whether they're given, often taking into account the context of the game. Refs are happy to dish out yellows to control a game because the consequences are minimal, but the bar for a second yellow is often higher, because the consequences are more severe. Why not check every "big" decision though, giving subjective authority to the VAR official to make that call? Would think any bone-rattling second-yellow challenge would make that cut. Would expect bizarre no-calls in good freekick positions to get checked as well.
The VAR official could still fuck it off if he wanted to, but I don't like that he has to sit on his hands because of a fluke in the rules.
