Without doubt the greatest striker to play for City in the last 30 years. Arguably the greatest player to play for City in the last 30 years.

But let's be pragmatic. He's probably not going to get any better, he's in the last year of his contract and if he's not going to sign a new contract then let's get what we can for him. If he stayed I'd doubt he'd have the impact he had in his first two years.

A catalyst for City in terms of his performance on the pitch and also in terms of raising our club's profile both in this country and internationally.

Taken from United in a show of strength and a statement of intent which, despite their claims, embarrassed them. Then rubbed their noses in the dirt from literally a great height in our very own city centre.

For that alone, Carlos Tevez deserves to be remembered as a legend.

And you've never made a mistake ? besides now we know what Mancini was like with the players I hardly think it was totally Tevez's fault. Shows the caliber of player he is and was to come back to us and play out of his skin every game like he did. In my eyes he totally redeemed himself. Shame some fans cant forgive and forget. Good luck Carlos have a feeling you will quickly become a fans favourite.

Sorry to see tevez leave , one of the best players to pull on a blue shirt , a true world class player and his signing from the vermin across the road , started the ball rolling. If tevez had a better adviser than that slimeball kia joorbichian I am sure the golfing holiday could have been avoided.

Totally agree with this. Sure there's lots more to the munich saga than was publicised. Good luck and thanks for some great memories.

I'm stunned that people still blame him for the whole Munich debacle, and it's aftermath. Hope he does well wherever he goes.

Our best ever player. Carried us for a few seasons, started the revolution off and captained us to the fa cup. Dont let that Bayern shit take the gloss of a true City great. That 2011 season was the best individual season i have ever seen. King Carlos.

What a player! A few years ago the lad would have got in any team in the world one of our greats, although the 6 month sabbatical will probably prevent him from ever being mentioned as such in the future which is probably fair enough. Could never doubt his commitment on the field but I agree its the right time for him to leave as I feel he's begun his regression and with one year left on his deal it was a no brainer at 12million.
