Thanks Tevez

Don't know if this has been covered earlier in the thread but on the Sky Sports site earlier they claimed we'd signed Tevez from United for £47 million in 2009. Now I don't tend to pay too much attention to actual transfer fees as they're just a number really if the club can afford it, but £47 million to a club who never owned him in the first place?!

Could have sworn it was more like £25 million and it seems I was right, as the the £47 million figure seems to have been removed from the article. I'm guessing the club have been in touch. Nice try Sky Sports.

Genuinely gutted he's leaving us not going to lie. One of our all time top goal-scorers and grafted every game he played, wonderfully talented player. Yes I was upset with him when he went AWOL for 5 months but he helped us win the league and also the FA cup so couldn't stay mad at him for too long. Juve are getting a great deal at £12Mill...however still better than the scum who ended up with nowt! :)

Thanks for the memories Carlos, good luck in Italy.

when it is one of our signings they tend to include their wages in the fee too!

farewell carlos and good luck!

Re: Thank You Carlos

Good bye Carlos, we will miss you

Good luck in Italy

(bet we get Juve in Champ league)

Gonna have to change our dogs name, called him Angus Tevez

For all his faults, look at this stat:

2001–2004 Boca Juniors 75 (26)
2004–2006 Corinthians 38 (25)
2006–2007 West Ham United 26 (7)
2007–2009 Manchester United 63 (19)
2009– Manchester City 107 (58)

More games and goals than any other club in his career. I'd argue we got the best of him, and he goes with good will for me.

Re: Thank You Carlos

done deal according to the Beeb site, 10m but when the fee is combined with wages and bonuses due to Tevez in the final year of his contract, we could save £27m.

A great player but his legacy for me has always been soured since the cup final when he deliberately dropped scarf's handed to him by fans on his way to get the cup but made sure he kept his Argie flag.
