That’s it, problem solved.

If this is the right thread for a whinge at the club , here's my ten penneth found out my 5g , 2 year old Samsung does not have NFC so ive had to buy an old shitter of a phone for £50 for matchdays that does have NFC , just another cost for wanting to attend matches.
Do the club consider for one minute their supporters financial situation post pandemic and in the middle of a recession, some pencil neck accoutant with his iphone13 makes a sales pitch to the club and calculates the matchday net spend for each supporter will now net another 0.32% profit.
You can bet your bottom dolllar the f*cker who brought in mobile ticketing has never paid to watch a game in his life.
Anyway all set for the Burnley game with a shit £50 NFC connected phone which saves me waiting 2 hours on the phone to customer services.
We better batter those six fingered f*ckers on Saturday after my investment in technology :)
If you want a 30 page whinge get your own

I was meaning the original post said it's cold in the ground, your a long time dead....
Very, very definitely a whoosh then! Oh my goodness what a whoosh! Shows how my brain works, the only ground for me is the football ground! :-) :-)

p.s. I have now crawled under a duvet in embarrassment! Red faced or what!?
In my defence I’m too near that scenario and probably subconsciously block it out of my mind!

No need to use an NFC enabled phone to get in the ground.
I have a 12 month old Nokia 2.4 that does not have NFC technology.
I just open the barcode from my Google wallet and put it into the card slot at the turnstile.
In fact yesterday I ordered my e ticket for the Brugge game and the email has instructions on how to use the barcode to gain entry to the ground.
No mention at all of NFC in the entire email!!

That's it, i'm done with City as well.
I've only ever attended one match and at that match they announced they had run out of chips at half time.
It severely affected my view of City and how they treat the match day fan. This uncaring attitude is just not on.
Since i know they won't reach out to me, i have no choice but to vote with my feet.

However, if anybody at City would like to reach out to me with a food voucher for half time, i may revisit this thread and announce that i will be back at the next game.
DON'T expect me to explain what has happened, as i will no longer need your support and sympathy etc..

Huh, you think you had it bad. On my one and only visit to the etihad I had to buy a ticket. I was disgusted, yes I saw us win 5 nil but that is not the point
. Why should I have to pay ? I felt I had to take a stand and have not paid since.

If City read this and offer me a free ticket (a season one would be nice) then I will definitely go back......... but I certainly won't explain anything to you lot.
