That 34 Year Banner Mocking Us at The Swamp.

A no from me. The childish part of me sees the funny side, but City fans and the owners have more dignity. Swings and roundabouts. I'm a FOC who went to the LC Final in 1976. Never for a minute then did I think it would be 35 years, 3 kids and at the time 4 grandkids before I saw us lift a trophy again. Lets embrace the good times we are currently experiencing. Don't get drawn in to the mindset of those giddy fuckers who think it will last forever. They dropped on with the bullying GPC, being able to outspend every other club to win their trophies, since he's "sort of" gone, the odd FA Cup, LC and EL is all they have to show. Just enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts. No need to resort to their arrogant, vinditive, self entitled levels. Make do with the "Mind the gap" and "It should have been 10" songs. Thats enough for me. Never, ever stoop to the level of those swamp dwellers. I noticed at their match against Burnley that their was empty seats in the lower tier of the GPC Stand. Let them think they sell out every game. The MUEN didn't get their red pen out that game. Just enjoy what we have got for as long as it lasts. They are like some 60 year old mini skirt wearing woman in a nightclub trying to convince everyone she was a looker in her time and all the blokes wanted her company. We are City. Humble, dignified and with class. Not words you'd find in a Rag Dictionary

I'd say leave it until it gets longer than that, 40 years would be good banner to unroll.

Coming up to 5 years since they won the league cup and Europa League. FA Cup only realistic aim for them this season.

Only another 35 years to go. Even if we were to win the league every other year, we would have overtaken and surpassed their league titles if they fail to win it that time.

Why do we have to stick the knife in and twist it then? I prefer to just enjoy City's success instead of petty point scoring over them.

What's more it's 10 years since they won the league but they've won trophies in that time and stayed fairly competitive. It's desperate stuff to throw a banner together.

Absolutely not. That banner was a club authorised 'look at me compared to you' disgrace, mocking our fall from the higher echelons of the game and pouring down contempt from high. It is the single biggest reason why I delight at every single dropped point, at every new dawn failure and at every single headline that goes on to be mocked by performance. The biggest thing we should keep doing is winning, at every level, and confining them to the sporting wilderness after decades of comparative failure. We need say nothing, do nothing, just keep winning because that, my friends in blue, will be the sweetest nectar to the bitterest of lemons.

The club already "officially" responded to that banner the very best way -- the animation of the reversal of the ticking numbers down to zero on the big screens at the Etihad on Aguerooooo day. That was a master stroke. Having ripped the cup away from their lips, how could revenge be any sweeter?

Besides, after the cunts get relegated in a few years, there won't be any of them in our ground to see any banner of ours anyhow.

Look at their chickenshit efforts to copy our Welcome to Manchester ballbuster. Fucking WEAK. Let's not copy them now. We're doing everything the opposite of them these days now and it's working a treat.
