Has anyone got a clip of it?

Incredible performance from the young lad yesterday. In 20 years of attending Armistice Day games, I've never heard a Last Post performed so impeccably.

Note perfect throughout.

It got me properly emotional. To stand up in front of 55,000 and perform like that took serious guts. Fantastic stuff - his family should be proud.

My mate who plays the last post on many occasions said it was the sweetest he has ever heard it played.

And Peter was that you on the TV

Seemed strange hearing it in October, but there was no other option as our next home game isn't until 23rd November due to another stupid international break.

He was bang on wasn’t he?

Something that always annoys me with all this is though is the crowds and their clapping. It’s not a talent contest, we aren’t supposed to applaud it.

When the managers bring out the wreaths to after the end of The Last Post, it’s supposed to remain a silence throughout.

Agreed, always got me that about the applause, but this day and age there is applause for almost everything, but as the old saying goes it’s the thought that counts

That young man was superb all the same absolutely spot on
