What if she was to post a picture of herself throwing a Koran in the bin?
She’s safe now in a free country. I understand that it can’t have been an easy decision to make but I don’t think she’s doing herself any favours.

Is eating bacon and showing your legs the same as throwing a Koran in the bin?

Doing something that is normal in other cultures that is against the religion if you are a believer and actually seeking out a mosque or a Koran to ridicule or defecate is completely different.

She’s not a Muslim, she can eat all the bacon she wants and can show her legs to anyone.

We should be criticising the religion here for it’s ridiculous rules.

If Muslims are offended at her choosing to become an atheist and behaving as atheists do in the West, it’s them that aren’t doing themselves a favour.

If you can’t see that eating her breakfast then posting a picture with the words “mmm bacon wow” with a smiley face emoji isn’t a way of deliberately enraging people, then we’ll have to just disagree.

By saying “if she threw a Koran in the bin...” you’re insinuating that it’s at least close to the level of eating bacon. You brought it up to compare.

I’m glad you’re not saying that, maybe you should just leave her to it then without passing comment.

Deliberately enraging people by dressing a certain way or eating bacon is fucking ridiculous, we’ll have to disagree on that.

This whole episode is on Muslims, not her, if they get offended.

Even if she was intentionally doing it, they have no right to want to cause her harm for it and nor should she worry about harm.

We used to use religion as a cultural backstop to victimise women and that's what Islam does now, we as a country need to make sure that all people adhere to the law because women are people too and quite rightly, maybe other countries would then follow suit.
Someone mentioned on here that people who take religion too seriously should be criminalised others think it should be banned, they just need to be forced to obey the law and have any power taken from them to influence anything governmental or social.

Ok, I’ll give you an analogy. Let’s just say, hypothetically that fans of a football club vandalised a visiting teams coach. The authorities see the evidence and decide that the offending club can keep the ruined coach but as a punishment, must buy the other team a brand new, top of the range coach. You could either A, accept the new coach as a fitting outcome because it’s better than the original and move on or B, take pictures of the new coach and send them to a fans forum of the offending team with the words,”thanks for the new coach knobheads”

That doesn’t work I’m afraid. The club would be actively seeking out the other fans and swearing at them.

The club would be in breach of FA rules and would be punished.

She’s literally just proclaiming how much she likes bacon after not being able to eat it before.

Nothing she’s doing is illegal and why you’re criticising her for it, I’ll never know.

Let her do what she wants.
If you think she is being deliberately provocative just let her get on with it.
Sometimes, the best way to deal with provocation of this kind is to ignore it. If she finds that she isn't getting any attention then she'll go away and get on with her life.
