RIP Mrs Thatcher.
The best PM that Britain has ever head.

produced a nation of illiterates :-)

Two words to all of the people enjoying her death on here:

Falkland Islands.

How many of you were wishing her dead then?
Without the courage she had they would have been back in the Argies hands after 2 weeks. Fact.
Fucking hell what courage . Sat in number 10 watching it on her telly.

Why do working class people praise the fact that she "curbed the power of the unions" ?

Do you feel the unions were doing the right thing in the 70's?

I ffel like the working class have no-one fighting their corner

The way I look at it is that the unions seemed to have too much power in the 1970's - as evidenced by the number of working days lost to strikes - so it needed addressing. The trouble is, Thatcher went too far the other way when dealing with it.

The left really do themselves no favours in situations such as this.

The only saving grace for them is that it's over two years to the next election.

Come down off that moral high horse and have a glass of Krug with me,my Liberal friend.
She was a horrible human being by any standards.
Please don't begrudge us bidding good riddance to bad rubbish.
Your choice in champagne is discerning. I will avoid any obvious jokes about Champagne Socialism.

I think you know me well enough to know that I am completely unbothered on a personal level about these comment, but if you think that unbridled joy at the passing of an 87 year old woman is going to play well with those voters that Labour needs to secure outright victory at the next election then you need to put the bottle down as you've had far too much :-)
