That's that then.

The letter to her parents is spot on. But sending her a letter, telling her that you would take it up the arse to still be with her is something you will regret when you look back at the relationship. When the others were talking about getting "a clean break", this isn't it. And when they were telling you to cut all ties with her, that doesn't mean cutting all ties with everyone. Choosing to change your Twitter, Facebook, email etc. is big. If there are statuses that you don't like to look at, get someone else to delete them. If you are following her on Twitter, but don't want to see her, just block her. Don't change EVERYTHING to try and get over her. If you do that, then she knows she will always have power over you. When a girl knows that, she will always want to keep contact, as you are someone who cares and will talk to her. While this is usually a good thing, it's not concerning an ex.

I don't want this to turn into a battle of the sexes thing. Someone said before that you should just not log in for a few weeks/months. I still don't go on Facebook to avoid my ex, and we split in October! I guess the point I'm trying to make is, dont be someone's priority, when you're just their option.
Like Fuzzy said, people on here have been through this. Listen to them :)

I never said it was difficult. It was even entertaining to a point, earlier it just ended up with users raging at each other and getting really pissed of for one reason or another so it lost its charm.

Edit: Gstar its a good idea to read threads first before commenting try a couple of pages back where op said to lock it for the same reasons i mentioned.
Why not make your own forum as you spend a lot of time saying how this one should be run with sub forums and telling the mods which threads to pull.

just got in and this thread has even more pages jheez but now i read you are sending a letter or something? ....i'v stuck up for you but damn that gay just stop talking to her

I did, thanks. Its not the OP's choice either; unless there's a good reason to, there's little point ever locking a thread.

If our members don't want to talk about it, they'll stop posting and the thread will drop off the board.

What are you on about, i made a thread asking what others thought to having different sub forums, if a simple thread asking what others think gets you so much you should get of the net pal.

Where did i say "should" i gave the pros for adding one at no point did i insinuate or otherwise try to force my idea so stop trying to put words in my mouth pal.

I have a forum cheers, on 4 websites i own, the op himself stated this thread should be locked due to the hassle it was causing.

Can you quote where i "told" the mods what threads to pull, i said "can a mod..." and gave my reason for asking not "this must be shut by a mod now"

So get your facts right before chatting crap.

The op has a history of starting threads and run requesting their dissolution so that's no biggie and the rest of your post is semantics as well you know.

I go to work at 4PM and I miss all of this, all I can say is Liam take your own fucking advice and stay out of any future political threads created by me or other users which you find 'boring' and a 'waste of time'.

Stay off the thread if you've got nothing decent to add, because that in all honesty is a shit post.

Is he still deleting all his accounts? Just remove her from there, saves you the hassle of starting everything off again and also you should maybe just get on with things, a letter is one of the stupidest things (in my opinion of course) you could have done, it shows you're clingy and really she'll think even less of you.

Just go out Bob, talk to some girls in your area, or just take a break, up to you.
