thats the best we played

I think we were better at West Ham.

Just how gutting was last night? A complete "typical City" moment if there ever was one.

Still feeling very positive myself and sill convinced that it's only a matter of time before it really comes together and we boss the fuck out of this league. I am confident we will win the next 5 league games

Some of the posts on here these last couple of days have been ridiculous. So many football fans are so short sighted in so many aspects of the game, the 'is the title out of reach' thread is fucking insane. 6 points off top in November and people writing this squad off under a new manager with new ideas. The mind boggles

This is a problem with some of our fans, we lose its the end of the world, we win and we are gonna win the league by 20 points, they cannot see the bigger picture.

-- Mon Oct 28, 2013 6:06 pm --

I don't considering the quality of the opposition, we dominated for lengthy spells yesterday and there are no other teams in the prem who could that at Chelsea.

I haven't read or posted much since the game yesterday, as some of the complete rubbish posted since is pathetic, both about the manager, the team, and individual players. I was angry at the way lost, still am, but anyone who doesn't see the performance yesterday as anything but a team who will challenge for the title is blind. We need to take more of our chances, and we need stop giving gifts, but we're improving our play almost game on game.

Once we cut out the individual errors we will win most of our games. The interplay at times is superb and still improving.

Agreed.

There are very few teams who could go to Chelsea and dominate possession.

We turned In a better performance on Sunday than we did when we won the title

However, a quarter of the season has now gone, and we need to pick up results consistently

yes we lost but there is a light in the tunnel and its starting to shine brigher and brighter

we forget its early days still and they don't give out the medals until may
also we have been unlucky with the injury to kompany and david silva and are only 6 points of the top of the league so its not that bad

We were excellent , and the better side , no doubt about that ...... and Mourinho knew it too , he'd given up on the game and got the shock of his life when we gifted them that late winner.

Silva was absolutely outstanding , especially second half , and others also played extremely well ...... no way did we deserve to lose that.

Once all the disappointment following yesterday's game subsided, you can only say that it was a great second half performance and there only looked to be one winner until that catastrophic finale we produced.

What concerns me most is that as a lot of have mentioned, we dominated possession in the first half against a top side BUT we could realistically have been 3 down at half time, we really need to start putting teams to the sword when we are on top and taking the game away from them. Our failure to do this has already cost us and will continue to do so unless it's quickly rectified.

I do feel we are moving in the right direction and Fernandhino is looking much better after a less than perfect start to his city career, now we need to see what Navas brings to the party

The chelsea game was a very good game of football , one very good team and one half decent team , if hart, clichy and garcia had been anywhere near the standard of the other 8 players , we would have won by a cricket score , great performance , wrong result , and if chelsea fans are deluded enough to think they deserved that victory , they are in for a harsh lesson this season

Agreed .......

Chelsea have some good players , but there were times in that second half when they looked a class below us ...... some of the second half challenges were a bit crude to say the least , and they stopped Silva in the only way they could .... with an illegal clatter to the chest !

In fact just before Harts clanger to gift them victory , one of our players , could have been Zabaleta , had rolled the ball almost along their goaline .... and quite how none of our players managed to finish it off is anyones guess , i doubt Dzeko wouldn't have gotten on the end of it if he'd been on the field !

we have actually played very well away from home.

Its just that we didnt get the rub of the green.
