One of my earliest memories as a blue was being at Maine Road when we beat Palace on the way to the 81 cup final. It was Big Mal’s first game back since his sacking, and he got a great reception from the Kippax.

I know a few years ago we did a “Nelly” tribute with red and black scarves, would be great to see something done for Malcolm Allison..cigars and sheepskin coats all round haha!

Be like a Del Boy tribute act mate ;)
I know where you’re coming from.

A great idea !
I'll start rummaging around Charity Shops looking for a massive Fedora.
Will also tell Fiona Richmond to pop around after tea...

I was on the Kippax and he did get a few Vs when he walked over arms in the air. Malcolm had a big grin.
He ran over saluting the Kippax and got a huge reception. But the cheers then turned to loud Johnny Bond chants.....,,sort of out with the old and in with the new

When I lived in London I went to watch Palace a few times as lived close by. Would have liked them to win a final!….not now though!

They were excellent yesterday though and we had enough scares the other week to know they will give us a game.

I live near them (Beckenham) Have been to a few games recently in Joel wards box as my mate works for his brothers company and I can walk home from Selhurst (albeit fairly long walk) so cushty afternoon. I like them as a club, good local support. Sat in my garden as we speak and can see the the two cheap Eiffel Tower TV transmitter thingies… so have a soft spot for them. But like you, do I want them to win the cup? I did maybe, not now. Fuck that lol

Yeah decent club and used to like going there in the 80’s. Lived in Sydenham so only a couple of stops on train.

Sydenham is alright. I go the greyhound a fair bit!
I used to go to the pub near the station but think that has gone now isn’t it? Greyhound rings a bell though. It’s alright now. Wasn’t great in the 80’s!

Edit- Actually just read about it. Same pub. Believe it was knocked down by developers but after a few years then rebuilt.

Had many a good night in there ! One of the lads at my residence who worked for Nat West Bank as I did, gave up his job and became the landlord!
