Why at 27 has llorente not gone to real or barca?

Bilbao are a unique club, virtually every player is home grown or if not they have to have some sort of Basque heritage to play for the club. So the players like at Barcelona are rabidly loyal and hard to pry away from the club. That's why Javi Martinez won't be going cheap in the summer. Martinez, Llorente, and Munain have long been on the radars of top clubs.

I'm in two minds tbh. If they go out it is one less possible trophy for them and makes it easier for us to win it. But if they do go out it means they have less games to play and will be fresher in the premier league

I wouldn't expect them to go cheap but clubs would pay big money for those two.

How many times have we all said that if you attack the scum they look shit. They are lucky it's 1-1. If any team other than barca or real madrid had dominated us like that I'd be really worried. I'd be interested to see the stats on possesion for that 1st half. If the rags aren't at least 3-1 up at the end of this game, they're in the shit in spain.

Just shows you how good Real and Barca are, teams like Valencia, Bilbao, and the now rejuvenated Atletico could trouble any top 6 English club, yet 3rd place Valencia are 25pts behind Real Madrid.

Hope that Bilbao do knock out Man Utd, hopefully then the media will stop bashing other leagues and claiming the English league to be the best in the world. People always say that there are only two good teams in Spain that can compete in the premier league, the rest are shit.

You have the current league champions struggling badly against a team that isn't even top four in Spain. Valencia had knocked out stoke, beating them home and away. Can't stand the English media biased beyond belief.

We would struggle against this lot in a knockout tournament. We are more consistent but we can buy players from anywhere. You have to be from Basque Country, Navarra or La Rioja to play for Los Leones. Will they succumb to temptation when the wonga gets wafted under their noses? The Basques like money
