It's great when they all say thanks to "everyone at home", because then you realise that we've all contributed to their funding, and bloody hell what a good use of our money it was.

We need to have more funding into Team GB, because the feeling of pride going through the country is well worth it.

So proud of all our athletes, whether they've won a medal or not. It's so good to see the finest of our young athletes who've dedicated their lives up and down the country to represent Team GB at these games.

Inspire a generation? Fuck that, it's inspired a whole nation. Never seen so many people crying during the day, any shred of pessimism about the Olympics has gone. This is such a great feeling.
