The 39th anniversary of the "Good Friday Disagreement" between Oldham & City fans

Brilliant day...we're here, we're there, we're every fucking where......

Was in the Rochdale Rd end near to the ladder side , always remember the cops standing on the touchline in front of the Ford stand while City were launching seats at them.

bloody hell , we had a full coach from the kenilworth pub, a mixture of different fans, it was a lovely day out, the coach had those head rest covers, and as the carnage unfolded you could see the seat covers on heads all over the ground, i ran up those ladders, and my old man was in the terracing as well if i remember correctly, ended up getting chased by a police dog on the road behind the ground, fucking brilliant day out
Me and Rascal were with you.
You didn’t down a pint of piss by any chance , did you.

IIRC plenty of Blues got in by breaking down one of the gates in the corner of the Rochdale Rd end, I reckon the crowd was way past 20k. The antics with the TV ladders was one of the funniest things I've seen at a football match.
Yep,I remember the gate’s being forced open, also had a pay on the gate turnstile, lad in front of me snatched the wooden box they collected the money in, it was raining £5 & £1 notes! Very funny memories

I was I that stand. It was called the Ford paddock. Total mayhem including heavy wooden seats being ripped up and thrown around. I remember during all the pandemonium an orderly queue forming at the base of the ladders. After you Sir.

The bad good Friday was the Mail's headline, remember they had a whole page dedicated to it. There is a picture on Google images, but I don't know how to embed it on here

There have been hundreds if not thousands of posts about this game over the years, wish they could all be collated, would make a book
Me and our kid were 13 and 14, got the bus from town unaware half of city’s main lads were on board who adopted us. Marched en masse through a football game on the park nearby and stole the ball.
Remember a policewoman getting sparked out on the pitch by a flying seat from the ladder end

Back in the 70s we played Boro at home on a Good Friday. They brought thousands and their coaches were parked on the Kippax car park.! Absolute mayhem after the game and not many windows left intact. Evening News had the headline 'Black Friday' the day after.
