It was a beautiful August morning and early afternoon. I had a t shirt and jeans on. Right on kick off it pissed it down for the entire game.
At half time the water was building up at the bottom of the terrace and the first 3 or 4 steps were covered. Two blues near to me took off their shoes and socks and wrung their socks out and hung them on the fence in front of us.
The final whistle went and the rain stopped, the sun came.out!

bloody hell , we had a full coach from the kenilworth pub, a mixture of different fans, it was a lovely day out, the coach had those head rest covers,and as the carnage unfolded you could see the seat covers on heads all over the ground, i ran up those ladders,and my old man was in the terracing as well if i remember correctly, ended up getting chased by a police dog on the road behind the ground, fucking brilliant day out

Yeah, I remember a pissed up blue drinking the rain water from the steps of the stand as it gushed down.
Absolutely sodden that day
