The 39th anniversary of the "Good Friday Disagreement" between Oldham & City fans

It was a shocking day
Some awful stuff happened after the game that still makes me cringe
Lad with us got nicked for nothing
Police just nicking anyone
I was in that stand with my dad and Oldham supporting brother. I was about 10 and got thrown over my seat by some city knob thinking he was rocky by assaulting what he thought was a 10 year old Oldham fan. Scared me to death and cuts all up my legs. My dad never took me to a game again after that. So yeh, great day. You lot wanking over it must be very proud. If dippers did this you’d be all over it.

I certainly remember the one in January 89 when Megson scored the winner. Never been as cold in my life!
Me too mate, I think that was the 2nd coldest I've ever been at a match!
You could see the players breath and there was frost on the artificial turf. The only reason it was on was because of the artificial turf!
I was in the Ford Paddock standing and there were a shit load of blues there ..... as always at BP!

IIRC plenty of Blues got in by breaking down one of the gates in the corner of the Rochdale Rd end, I reckon the crowd was way past 20k. The antics with the TV ladders was one of the funniest things I've seen at a football match.
Correct, the gates were forced open and loads walked in, that open terrace was rammed, a surreal day.
