I was at that game, right behind the goal. There is a you tube video, absolute limbs.

I was in that stand with my dad and Oldham supporting brother. I was about 10 and got thrown over my seat by some city knob thinking he was rocky by assaulting what he thought was a 10 year old Oldham fan. Scared me to death and cuts all up my legs. My dad never took me to a game again after that. So yeh, great day. You lot wanking over it must be very proud. If dippers did this you’d be all over it.It was a shocking day
Some awful stuff happened after the game that still makes me cringe
Lad with us got nicked for nothing
Police just nicking anyone
NoooooooooooBut not York
Me too mate, I think that was the 2nd coldest I've ever been at a match!I certainly remember the one in January 89 when Megson scored the winner. Never been as cold in my life!
I walked back to Ashton that day then got a bus to Mottrama group of us walked all the way back to ashton cos no one would let City fans on the bus
strange day, we were standing on the open stand behind the goal, when those City fans to the rigjt of us started going up those ladders it was so surreal.
Aright! You’re right! SorryWasn’t plastic pitch.
Correct, the gates were forced open and loads walked in, that open terrace was rammed, a surreal day.IIRC plenty of Blues got in by breaking down one of the gates in the corner of the Rochdale Rd end, I reckon the crowd was way past 20k. The antics with the TV ladders was one of the funniest things I've seen at a football match.
Felt like telling the teacher he’d got his facts wrong but, had to be done :-)Aright! You’re right! Sorry
Me neither! Shutterstock agencyNever seen that before.
Used to be some good photos on mirrorpix of City fans, especially the Luton game in 83, Blackpool away as well iircMe neither! Shutterstock agency
