The 6-1 was like a bully getting his comeuppance

My husband is a season ticket holder at the swamp and I am at City..

He decided to tell me yesterday that he has suddenly lost all interest in football... its all about money these days he said.

Of course it was never about money with the rags

Having lived with that quiet arrogance that all rag fans have for so many years - the absolute knowledge that they will always win and it is their right to win everything this u-turn is very predictable and quite typical.

all of a sudden Utd fans all over the country will start supporting cricket or rugby....!!!

I was in Nottingham on the day of the derby - watched it in a pib there and every neutral supported City and every neutral was pleased as punch with what we did to them. Their invinicibility has gone forever.....

I was at that game as a kid and as Glyn was stretchered off the cesspit reverberated to the chant of,''We hope you've broke your leg,we hope you've broke your leg,we hope you've broke your leg!''

My absolute loathing for that scum was cemented from that day.

My dad often mentions this. Apparently they put a piece in the MEN saying how mortified Best was and how he had visited Pardoe in hospital - and to this day my dad maintains it was all bullshit to protect Best.

Anyone able to shed any light on that? My old man is always adamant about this and claims to have read/heard that Pardoe denied it.

Pardoe, Bell, Haaland

Never forgotten.

Three good reasons to hate the rag scum.

I remember listening BBC Radio's Blue Tuesday a few weeks back and they had him on. He basically said that Best visited him but he didn't really care. It felt to him that Best was more like carrying out a duty rather than feeling remorse.

I remember something about George best walking into the city dressing room to say his apologies and Allison laid into him verbally, as he closed the dressing room door behind him Allison threw a full tray of tea cups at it, the feeling in the dressing room was running high, as for one of my all time favourite footballers Alan Oakes he has been one of the most underrated footballers ever to wear the sky blue shirt truly one of city's all time greats.
