Got it now

123 & 140 are the old NSL2 seats

240/24-39, Safe standing side FG season tickets are £745.
240/40-60, safe standing side FG season tickets are £485.
240/47/59, safe standing side FG season tickets are £425.

Correct?
Almost.

City being City released the seating map with the wrong information on it and haven’t corrected it.

The prices are split by the following rows:
24-39 - £745
40-45 - £485
46-59 - £425

City incorrectly put row 47-59 but it’s actually rows 46-59. Some people will have bought safe standing on row 47 thinking they’ll be the front row, but will actually be on the second row.

The two middle blocks 236/237 just have 58 rows in total.

Thanks for explaining the correction.

I know those are the prices, and nothing will change, but I still don’t understand or accept why City are charging fans £745 to stand on the sides, and also charge other City fans £745 to sit in the centre. What is the incentive, just to stand, rather than to sit for the same price? It certainly isn’t a better or more central view. Safe standing is supposed to be cheaper than sitting, especially when your safe standing seat is down the sides of the tier. I’m sorry, it’s just nonsense. Don’t get me started on the different prices for one row of seats below and above each other, with no difference in view at all.

I guess they’re just mirroring the prices of the South Stand, regardless of safe standing or seating.

Both stands have the cheaper seats located at the back of the stand, followed by dearer seats in the middle and the most expensive towards the bottom.

It doesn’t matter whether you have seats bang in the middle or right on the far side, they’ll be priced the same, if on the same row.

It does seem a strange policy. Although looking at the seating map for available season tickets, some people have chosen tickets in the wing blocks for their season tickets, when seats/standing are still available close to the middle.

I guess everyone has their own preferences as to seat location.

The safe standing seats further back on SSL1 are more expensive than the safe standing seats at the front of SSL1.

I could get a cheaper seat at the front of SSL1 and go and stand at the back of SSL1. There are always empty seats available bar for the big games. Even then you can squeeze up next to a mate.

It is the same price in every ground in England as seating for equivalent seats, as they are the exact same seats and space. Even Wembley.

Safe standing costs the clubs slightly more to provide too due to the extra capital investment and extra licensing considerations.

I think @fivercider was referring to SSL3 rather than SSL1
