The Agenda

I seem to recall there were some dodgy decisions earlier in the season, but no-one was too bothered as we were scoring enough for it not to be crucial.

Bookings for Mario might be an "agenda" but Dowd is just incompetent. If there was an agenda he wouldn't have booked Gerrard early on. We should have got on Gerrard after that just like other teams get on Mario.

I suspect it was Jamie Redknapp who let his father know about SKY reviewing the Parker/Balotelli incident, which led to his outburst at the end of the game.

A quick text from the SKY studio to his dodgy dad and Bobs your uncle.

Apparently arry can't read or write.

look at every game since wba on boxing day something has happened in every single game a couple for us but a shit load against.
wba goal disallowed
sunderland offside
liverpool barry sent off
rags kompany sent off
liverpool cc johnson two footer
wigan hand ball
spurs balo and lescott
liverpool edin pen michas pen
then theres not forgetting the chelsea and liverpool before xmas i just want a run of games where we win with no incidents

I don't believe an agenda exists between the fa and referees as such. However, I do believe that many referees are unwilling to give City any benefit of doubt, this may be to their personal allegiances but I doubt it. My personal belief is that referees are more than willing to give decisions against us because they have no fear of reprisals from the media. In fact, some may even be looking to give decisions against us because of the positive slant they will receive from certain journalists.

Ithink thats very close to the truth, theyve never all got around a table to make an excecutive decision to stop us but what you say is certainly going on and maybe a little more. Trouble is that the result is the same, we are stuffed.

It evens its self out over a season , MY ARSE.
We are getting dick't off ref's ever week open your eyes man.
I never thought I would say this but something stinks about this.
Just would like a game 11 v 11 for once this year.

We've not had it that bad this season particularly in the league.

The one "agenda" I do subscribe to is that Balotelli gets booked where others wouldn't.

But other than that, prior to the incident with Vinny, we weren't complaining about the refs very much.

We need to let it go. When I say we I not only mean the fans but most importantly Mancini himself. This attitude of us against the world will not do us any good.

We need to concentrate on the football and the rest will take care of itself.

That's not true, there were plenty of people after the Wolves game (and others) saying that the ref's could cost us dear.

So people were coming away from one game back in October/November saying that the ref had a shocker and this proves that there is an agenda, good one.

Even though we beat Wolves 3-1 in October, there was some serious outrage over Atwell's blatantly one-sided showing including a big thread on here. We conceded 18 fouls (2 yellow cards + 1 red card) compared to their 6 despite having superior possession and being the better team. Even the victory didn't make people overlook one of the most *blatantly* one-sided refereeing performances in a long time. People were furious at the match, boos at half-time as he went off.

Totally agree that he had a shocker that day and overall that was the worst refereeing display we've seen all season. However, I put this down to Atwell's incompetence more than anything else.

The phrase agenda is so paranoid. I don't mind people saying for example that a ref doesn't like Balotelli. However to suggest that there is a considered plot to punish us and help our rivals is ludicrous.

My God this place gets worse than RAWK by the day. Poor old us, everyone's out to get us. I might hold a candlelight vigil for myself tonight, the refereeing decisions have really got to me. Or I might just man the fuck up instead and realise that refs are human and make wrong calls in every game. Not sure which.

People should read this post. We're turning into RAWK.

It wasn't a pen, but at real time, Dowd didn't see it hit Micah's foot first.

So the ball hit a huge divot which changed its trajectory?
Dowd was a couple of yards away, if he missed the ball hitting Micah's foot he definitely needs to go to SpecSavers
