The Album Review Club - Christmas Break Until 8th January

Re the Doors. I didn't realise they'd done 3 live albums. On checking Wiki I'm sure it was 'Absolutely Live' the double LP released in 1970 and yes it had 'Celebration of the Lizard.

Re Bowie, Hunky Dory, number 3. The other 2 perhaps too tough to call. I'm coming from the angle of a 14/15 yr old. No one had seen anything like Ziggy/Sane.
England was white people living a dull grey existence until Bowie.
If I had to choose, Alladin Sane as number one.
All three amazing albums.

I nearly saw him in Edinburgh in 1973. One of my lifetime regrets that I sold the ticket to a mate. It was really only after that I began to appreciate his genius properly. Did you know he lived in Edinburgh for a while during that period? Him and Ange and Lindsay Kemp shared a flat in Drummond Street.

was that from the 'Unplugged' series?
I used to have that concert on a VHS tape and it was played until I ruined it.

Dont forget to give EPTAS a score out of ten mate.
Almost forgot 10/10

Oh and “Never a dull moment” another good album from Rod

I am also available for reviews of The Doors 'Live' ( I don't think it had a proper title)
Bowies brilliant 'Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust' and of course Alladin Sane.
All before I became a soul boy.
Have you covered Biggie Smalls aka The Notorious B.I.G 'Ready to Die' yet ?
For full context, all of the albums that have already been reviewed are all on page 1 in this thread.

You'll be relieved to know it appears you mostly have a blank canvas to work off of, save for The Streets, and AGDCFF. Careful of the GH/live ones as I've been told 'best of' point deductions can be real. ;-)

Its very white isnt it !

That might have to change as Ive sort of had an invite from @Saddleworthblue

that needs a helpin' hand
Oh, Maggie, I wished I'd never seen your faaaace

Ah well, I reckon he needed them as much as they needed him. TBF he'd already got his solo deal before he hooked up with the other Faces but his latter career would suggest it was much better when he wasn't left to his own devices! Though I'm sure as he sits atop his bank balance he cares not.
