The Album Review Club - End of Round #9 Break (page 1904)

My prejudice runs deep with Kiss but time to put it to the teat. Got it lined up and ready to play on the way to my golf lesson this morning, hope it gets me swinging well.

I’ve only ever heard one Kiss track that I’m aware of, Crazy Nights which to be fair is OK. But I have to get past all the OTT theatricality now to see if there is any substance to the music

Teat? Duh, I mean test. Before anyone points out I’ve made a tit of myself and starts milking it

As a 13 year old, this was the second album I ever bought (after Quo's Blue For You). Loved it then, love it now.

I've only seen them twice, which is disgraceful considering they're my all time favourite band! The reason I love Kiss is probably for all the reasons a lot of people hate them. Loud and larger than life, it was just what a teenager who hated punk needed!

10 and then some!

Large in life too. I've stood next to Gene Simmons a few times. Got Paul Stanley's autograph as he exited the Free Trade Hall.

Yeah, I was in the front row at the Southampton Gaumont in 1984, even without the platform heels they were still larger than life! Still got Simmons' plectrum that he gave me at the end of the show.

Reactions: OB1
I'm following this thread but not taken part. The OB1 choice has made me smile. The music snobs will hate it. Anyone putting this on and willing to suspend their predudice for 35 minutes turn it up to 11 in your car or in an empty house will have a blast.

Its just the whole bloody costume, tongue constantly lolling nonsense. The whole visual thing makes your average Yes disciple (including me) run for their loons.

I am going to keep an open mind, I am going to keep an open mind, I am going to keep an open mind, I know I will fucking hate this, I am going to keep an open mind, I am going to keep an open mind....
