The Album Review Club - Week #145 - (page 1923) - Tellin' Stories - The Charlatans

Sorry, I’m late with this one been travelling back to the States and not had much time to listen,However Dance is definitely not my thing , I like the odd Fat Boy slim track and some Ministry of sound but my clubbing days are well and truly over!
I had t heard any of the songs before and probably wouldnt want to again.i found trying to listen to the whole album an ordeal, even my younger wife who likes that sort of thing told me to turn it off!

Brave choice BH but I think the demographic of most of the listeners on here being
either FOCs or nearing being FOCs hasn’t helped.

3/10

While we wait for the changeover or any final reviews, a bit of a longer term question. How do people feel about a nomination of 2EPs (Vol1 and vol2) in place of one album. The total play time is 52 minutes, and they are kind of part of a set. Or would it have to be just the one or the other at circa 25 minutes each.
No problem with that myself. We've had a few albums that clock in at over an hour so 52 minutes isn't too bad. As long as they're not shit.

Personally I'd be ok with 2EPs (trying to work out what they might be).

Fine by me.

Is it me that is supposed to be posting the next review later today?
Must admit, I thought is was, but looking at the schedule, it's bennyboy.

An interesting pick by @BlueHammer85 - some liked it, some really liked it, and others less so. So just another week in the album review club, really. But as others have noted, it was certainly different to everything we've had before. Surrender by The Chemical Brothers polled 13 voters at an average of 5.27.

To celebrate City's double, @bennboy has his own double this week - nominating on both the playlist and album review threads.
