The Album Review Club - Week #147 - (page 1942) - Blonde On Blonde - Bob Dylan

Struggled to come up with those 2 and thought it was a bit easy! I can narrow it down a bit if nobody has worked it out soon. First image relates to the artist, second relates to the album title.
Is the artist related to the English name of the show, or the French name of the show, or one of the character's names, or one of the character's voice-over artists?

That would mean that albums by Dionne Warwick, Aretha, Diana Ross, Sinatra, Elvis are diminished somehow? Is Elton John diminished because someone else writes his lyrics? How about someone like Dianna Krall?
Not necessarily Saddleworth2 as I said for me I have always preferred to listen to and in the main bought albums by artists who compose their own music for a number of reasons least of all the talent required but that doesn't mean I don't admire and listen to music performed by the artists including those you mention. As a rule I wouldn't score and album full of covers as highly but there are albums with covers I would score highly.

Think it might be a japanese, or tokyo edition. But can't get past the band clue

Obviously, it's each to their own, but I just don't see the point this type of album. If you're not going to write your own material, I'm, not interested. I know that rules out a lot of albums, but there's more than enough songwriters who write stuff I like.

I do have a few cover albums - Springsteen and Mellencamp - but in these cases it's more about the arrangements and playing than the songs. I know Bruce has a soul covers album out next month, and whilst he has more than earned the right to do it, I probably wont even listen to it, never mind buy it!

Rod Stewart on the other hand seems to do nothing but bland cover albums these days. I'm sure he was OK when he started out, but he's found a much better way of making money now and good luck to him.
I get where you coming from if the artist isn’t capable of writing decent songs to put on an album, but i do like the odd cover version by singer song writers I like.
Case in point being Ryan Adams, a favourite singer songwriter of mine whose out put is very prolific , maybe too much so , but he can obviously write good songs. His reworking of Taylor Swift’s album 1989 was one of his best around that time.It also
made me realise although she’s not my taste at al, what a talented song writer she is.
