The Anti Supporters Club

Who do these pretenders think they govern?

Kevin Parker, an ongoing danger to the match going fan. Get your head out the trough.

The OSC is not fit for purpose and needs replacing
City Supporters Club is controlled by the club and has been for years, even the logo and wording is trademarked by MCFC.

IT IS NOT INDEPENDENT.

Kevin Parker is an ex employee of the club, he once worked in the ticket office and even managed it for a while, which actually explains quite a few other issues...

"Cheaper" and "more accessible" are not compatible words.

Pick one.

Cheaper and more accessible, more season tickets and cheaper tickets sold by the club to supporters and not by 3rd party companies that sell on the clubs behalf.

By definition cheaper means more accessible.

1894 haven't and won't fall out with anyone, up to others if they want to fall out with us, we mailed kevin parker this morning to say your opinion is yours, ours is ours etc, we agree to disagree no need to fall out, many of our committee , our volunteers and members are part of osc branches.

kev himself i think is still a member of 1894 having joined about 10 years ago !

there was a tweet which said osc is disappointed in this decision. we don't believe that to be the case. 34000 members in the osc and they have not been asked. the leicester protest was full of rank and file osc members including some osc branch chairs and also some from citymatters too come to mention it.

we've sought a mandate and got one, fans wanted

1) high profile high impact stuff inside the ground - concourse
2) high profile high impact stuff outside the ground - demos and leaflets
3) banners - we did a display at the villa game and also made the point we were getting behind the team
4) open letter - has now been done and worldwide coverage

that's democracy

I don't fully understand or particularly care about the petty politics, but any message is undeniably stronger when communicated with one voice, and regardless of right or wrong, the current situation looks shambolic

We're all concerned about the rapidly increasing ticket prices and how it's going to affect our hardcore support
We're all concerned about the club's alarming drift towards prioritising the tourists.
We're all concerned about the club's lack of communication.

If they don't listen then how the hell are we going to fill a 60,000 capacity?

For me, the fact that three supporter groups have had to draft and write an email to the our manager highlights just what an appalling job the club itself have done on the ticketing issue.

The lack of cooperation with supporters has led to this and in my opinion anybody who wants City supporters to have access to more season tickets and cheaper prices should be fully behind the letter. 1894 and co have done a fantastic job and have represented it's fans.

The fault has and continues to be with the club. This is a failure in diplomacy and understanding the economic climate supporters are living in.

The club want single match ticket buyers only, the loyal season ticket holders buying at a 'discount' is outdated in the view of the management and they want rid of all except a small minority of younger fans to create an atmosphere and to entice into bringing along the next generation in years to come.

Also, the new rule for next season regarding s/t holders having to attend 10 matches of the 19 they have already paid for could be illegal. It may breach the Disability Discrimination Act regarding a disabled person being unable to attend 10 matches because of a condition or disability the club are aware of, and then the club refuses to allow them to continue to attend with their pre paid ticket or purchase another for the following season. I believe EASS (Equality Advisory & Support Service) are being contacted to look if it is.

The club have given Joe Hart, Yaya and other ex-players complimentary season tickets over the years which are probably hardly used by the person who was granted it. Have they banned them for 'lending' to a mate? Will they remove them if the holder does not attend 10 games?

City fans today need an independent supporters club more than ever. The current osc is not fit for purpose.

Doesn't sit well with me writing to Pep like that.
Pep is the greatest ever manager, has clearly struggled with off field factors in his life.
Why would us fans want to put more pressure on him ?
Leave Pep out of this and let him concentrate on his private life, then the team.

it's clearly a tactic to bring soriano into it, the media then carries the story and in effect soriano is the only obstacle to season tickets not being issued. they might not issue season tickets of course but then it's clear that decision will be on soriano

Exactly my point.

You need a caveat to have cheaper and more accessible together because making them cheaper will cause demand to soar making them harder to get and so on and so forth.

Season tickets are a bit of a different matter than std day tickets.

As you rightly point out, the club sponsored resellers are the issue here.

Club need to start looking at fans that haven’t purchased tickets for certain games but have a record of continually going to games for years and giving them first dibs on these free tickets they dish out to random schools. Sick to death of seeing kids wondering around with rag tops on that have clearly been given free tickets as part of their school/football team etc

Pep's made a point of supporting the fans on this - and we absolutely appreciate that - so he's already involved anyway. All we're doing is asking him to have a chat with a long-standing mate of his. We're not asking him to go steaming into the boardroom, windmilling everyone, and demanding that it gets sorted

Did you see my post regarding actually queuing for tickets mate? Let's say 20,000 go on open sale and you had to queue for those tickets with a supporters number etc, the idea isn't perfect but there has to be a solution where a family can get tickets before they sign in with a citizens matchday membership and tickets just don't filter down to those members in the big game cases.

I know and appreciate that people don't want to queue but there has to be a way to get face value cheap tickets that doesn't involve giving the club a way to just say there isn't any left, all the non season ticket tickets have been squirrelled away for hospitality packages and people who will pay over the odds and guarantee themselves tickets by virtue of their financial means.

Well said, Pep has no say in the matter. Absolutely no need to bring him into this arguement. He has enough to worry about. Hopefully his secretary gets it and decides to not forward it on to him.

Why on earth would they be disappointed in the statement if the other parties were previously unaware of such a meeting?

Wouldn't you say, 'just to let you know some positive news that the club are going to discuss some of these issues with us soon', rather than turn it into some pretty clash between the different parties.

It constantly feels like the OSC are constantly trying to brown nose the club and put other groups down so that they feel superior.
Their response is pretty poor.

But in all fairness, not as poor as the original letter.

I fully support the groups' fight and cause here, and some of the recent moves. But that one and its delivery there is bad.

100% this. Plus, the whole 'here remember when we showed you appreciation in catalan' is a bit of sour taste, you show someone appreciation you don't then rub it in their face.
